BURN IT DOOOWWNNNNNNNN!

With Jeff out, the match could go to anybody. Though some could argue that Kennedy is a shoo-in, I'm sure others will argue otherwise. In your opinion, who's the most likely winner? |

I didnt vote for who I thought was gonna win. I voted for who I wanted to win. And that is CARLITO. He's just so damn cool. However, who do I think is gonna win?? Well it might be Kennedy. But who is to say they wont push our boy MVP. And they were gonna have the I-C champ win before, so who is to say they wont continue down that road. Hell, if they want to make Jericho's big return credible at ALL, they best have him at least win this damn thing. |

It's a fabulous new day, yes it is!

This is how I see the candidates... Highest Chances Of Winning: Kennedy and on a lesser scale, Y2J Low Chances Of Winning: MVP No Fucking Way They're Gonna Win: Punk, Carlito, Shelton and Morrison |

Well I've heard rumors someones going replace hardy but if this is all that their is going be... I will have to go with Kennedy. I don't see them having an ECW person win it, and going for the ECW championship, the lesser of the three "big titles"...if you can count the ECW championship a big championship now.... MVP is too busy with the U.S. Title, and isn't getting a decent push for a MITB win. Y2J, no matters how much I want him to win. He has the IC championship, and now I don't see really having a WWE chamionship, not that they just kill his big return...along with everyone elses...well except Cena's.... Carlito right now for some reason is in tag team, so I'm not seeing him leave the tag team division for a single's shot. So Kennedy is the best one on the list. |

Why is Morrison not listed? He's got no chance of winning, I don't think, but his past ladder matches prove that he's going to provide for a damn entertaining match. I still have my money on Mister Kennedy(...Kennedy!), but at the same time I have my doubts. I've given my reason for supporting Kennedy several times already: he's currently in limbo, always put into matches with big name talent, always made to look strong going into the match, always booked to look credible while losing, and always hyped by JR as "very talented". Not to mention that WWE didn't get to capitalize on Kennedy's win from last year. However, there is the nagging thought in my mind that Kennedy is still being punished for his big media blunder from last year. You remember the one, the one where he told all the media outlets how he's never used steroids, and the media followed up by proving that he did order steroids. I think he's being punished for that still, but at the same time being protected enough to look strong for his future push. And believe it, he's getting a big push in the future. I hope that Kennedy wins the match, thus ending his questionable punishment. I don't see anyone else having much of a chance. Morrison and Shelton, while very entertaining, are on ECW so most fans won't even remember they are still employed with WWE until the match happens. Punk is also on ECW. While I don't find him as entertaining as either Shelton or Morrison, I think him being on ECW takes away his chances of winning. I don't see anyone from ECW winning. Carlito hasn't had anything that resembled a push in nearly 2 years, even though he is talented enough and entertaining enough to be at least a high mid-carder. I would be in favor of MVP winning as well, but I don't think he's done anything since his feud with Matt Hardy was cut abruptly short. That leaves Jericho, who could believably win it, but I wouldn't put any money on it . MITB tends to be awarded to someone WWE wants to push up the card. Jericho seems to be going further and further down the card each month. (Ironic that Jericho is the one that created MITB, from a storyline standpoint, but has never won a MITB match) Of course, there is still a possibility that someone may take Jeff's place. I suspect it'll be Matt, but I don't see Matt winning it either. I can see Matt being the next US Champion, but not the next MITB winner. In closing, I'd rank the 7 known candidates from best chance to worst chance of winning as follows: Kennedy Y2J C.M. Punk MVP Carlito Shelton Morrison Yeah, I know I said I didn't see anyone from ECW winning and then ranked Punk third, but he's gotten better pushes than everyone below him, even if his push took place on ECW. |

I'm pretty certain that Kennedy's going to win. If not him, then I say Punk. |

I think Shelton and Morrison can easily replace Jeff as in doing the spotfests for the MITB. |

Oh, my apologies then. I haven't seen SmackDown! yet (I do have it recorded though), and Morrison is an ECW fella. I just assumed...well, I'm off to clean this yoke off my face.
