Legendary professional wrestling manager Gary Hart died Sunday. The cause of death is not currently known, however, he did an autograph signing on Saturday afternoon in Allentown, Pennsylvania so it would appear that his death was sudden. Hart was 66 years old.

Hart was probably best known for his work in World Class Championship Wrestling throughout the 1980s.

A Slam article.

I'm not familiar with him, though I've heard the name before and seen him before I think, but it seems he was a pretty good wrestling mind. The wrestling world can always use as many great minds as possible, so it's a shame to see him go (in a matter of speaking).

He was known mostly for managing the Great Muta when Muta first started wrestling for WCW. When Terry Funk came back, Hart and Muta formed what would be a great stable in the J Tex Corporation which also featured Dick Slater, The Dragonmaster, and Buzz Sawyer.

It didn't last long but it was one of the coolest things to watch during the pre NWO period when NWA was still aligned with WCW.
