BURN IT DOOOWWNNNNNNNN!
Orton's reign hasn't lived up to expectations, but I've enjoyed him as champion since I've waited so long for him to hold a main event title again. I like the matches that he wins clean, like the match with Jeff for example. Or even matches he didn't have to cheat to win, like the LMS match with HHH. It makes him look strong and credible. I know that from a storyline POV, it was expected for Orton to do everything he could to screw Cena out of winning the title and set up for the main event, but he didn't look strong. Though It won't happen, I'd love to see Orton retain the WWE Title at WM cleanly, it'll build Orton as not only a champion who'd do anything to retain the title, but a strong Champion who can bet two of the best in the same match.

I agree. I feel at times they make Orton look weak. But I had the same problem when Trips was champ. But he's the heel. So cheating to win comes with the territory. But Orton's matches with Trips and Shawn and Jericho and even Cena were all really good matches. And the one at No Way Out, I didn't feel he looked it weak. Orton beat the crap out of Cena, really. But they made it look like Orton felt was a smart champion, so he slapped the ref to keep the belt. That smile on Orton's face after he did told the story. I thought it was alright. Personally I have loved Orton's title reign, simply because he was the best wrestler of 2007 with the "kick in the head" character, but Cena's reign was something that almost drove me away from wrestling, so when that ended and Orton was on top, I was sooooo refreshed.

My main problem with Orton is how they make him look on Raw. You could even think that at one point, WWE would make Orton look shitty enough to have people believe John Cena wasn't that bad of a champion.

His PPV performances, I don't have problems with.

The only problem is he's in a match with John Cena, who never goes down cleanly. If I remember correctly, the last match he lost cleanly was a triple threat match way back with Angle and the Big Show. Since then, he's become the unstoppable Juggernaut.

The only way I can see Orton winning clean is if he pins Triple H.

The last time I remember Cena losing clean was against HBK in that Raw match.

Yup. And then, the rest of the matches, he doesn't lose clean and if he's in tag team matches, when they lose, Cena's partner is taking the pin.

I don't have a problem with Cena never losing cleanly. He is the top face, so that's just the way it is. But even when people cheat they can't beat him. That's my problem.

I don't remember WWE making Orton look shitty enough to beleive Cena was a good champion :-/ Of course Orton's reign started off slowly, but since Jericho showed up, I think he has picked up lots of momentum. On RAW anyways. He's always been good on PPV's. The guys a star and belongs in the main event of Wrestlemania. Just in case people were trying to imply that he wasn't.

The two questions regarding the WWE Championship match that I answered at another forum yesterday.

1. Who do you want to win?
2. Who do you expect to win?

1. Triple H.
2. John Cena.

With the way the matches are stacking up to start, it looks like my expectations of this PPV are going to be reality, due to WWE's classy, unpredicatable booking.

Cena, Taker and Jeff for the win

In the latest issue of WWE Magazine they talk about the Wrestlemania set up. They mention that there will be a tarp in case it rains, 10 times the amount of pyro used on Raw and a special lighting ring that has been built from the ground up. Also the ring will be setup on the 50 yard line.

That is gonna be pretty insane. I am looking for another long ramp then to stretch 50 yards.

I don't think Cena and Taker will win. Actually I'm expecting Edge to be the guy to end the streak. As for the triple threat match, it's between Cena and Trips, so I'm going for Orton. I love when the internet is wrong, that's why.

If Edge didn't lost last year, I wouldn't mind him ending Taker's streak. If both arrived as undefeated, it would be a much more exciting match.

Yet, I think WWE's gonna hype Edge as undefeated since he never got pinned or forced to submit.

I know I'm biased towards the guy, and I'm sure someone is waiting to call me on it, but I think Kennedy is going to win the MITB for the second consecutive year. They never got their chance to execute their plans for Kennedy last year, since he was misdiagnosed with injury, and have been keeping him in holding since then. WWE is taking their time with Kennedy. They are putting him in matches with big name guys so that people expect to see him at that position on the card. But at the same time, he's not winning constantly (or often really  ), so he's not being pushed down our throats. I think this is going to be the year Kennedy makes his ascend towards main events. I see Kennedy winning MITB and going on to main event a PPV. I don't think he'll get the Raw title any time soon, but I could see him jumping back to SD! and getting the World Title.

Of course, Hardy should win MITB this year. Hardy should be in the main event of WM this year. There is no one more over in WWE at the moment.

Hardy or Kennedy winning MITB, I don't care. Hardy has the higher chance to win since he's pretty popular at the moment. I guess WWE's putting the third guy who qualified to MITB to do the big spot on the night in order to "steal the show", so Hardy could win it without doing a big effort.

Wrestlemania 19 by far had the coolest ramp.

Shelton and Jeff in it. Shall be good. But then again, I think WWE will have Jeff Hardy in the main event very soon after Wrestlemania. So they might have Kennedy win, unfortunatly.

Alright My predictions for WM so far

I see Cena winning, I do Like Cena winning and getting into a good rivalry with HHH and Orton at the same time, when was the last time they really pushed a triple threat title shot?

I see Undertaker Winning...Edge I can't see really ending the Undertaker streak, whoever (if anyone) is going take out Undertaker streak, that well push him into main event status right there and put him on top.

If flair is in a match, He well win.

Hardy wins MITB only if in the next month he loses the Intercontinental title, or else it probably well be Kennedy.

Big Show coming back and winning....nah...

No, no. You could have said that about any match he had prior to WM. But this storyline has to end at WM. The next match Flair loses is his final match (supposedly). Flair is not going to go out on an episode of Raw, SmackDown!, or ECW. Flair is not going to go out on a secondary PPV. Flair is going to go out at WrestleMania. He's being inducted into the HOF the night before. He'll get a standing ovation the night of. It's going to be a big night for Flair. His last big night. He's losing.

Agreed.

He does have the HOF monkier of the only active wrestler to be inducted and that will end when he loses at WM but who to?

But Having Flair lose on the big stage, ending on a bad note....I just don't see anything like that happening... But if he is going to lose hopefully it is someone that is in a push to main event, and not someone that is in main event.

Looks like it is going to be HBK. They already started it with having HBK announce that Flair is going to be inducted in the HOF. From there, they'll probably play up the whole respect angle where both respects the other. It's going to be a face vs face match. I don't see either turning heel on each other.

Dang, that does seem like the obvious choice now. It shall still be a good match nonetheless.

The bad thing is that they've already done the respect angle between these two that led to a match. The match took place at Bad Blood 2003. Before the match, the two had an in-ring promo where HBK talked about how much he respected Flair. Flair said he respected HBK and that he (flair) was passing the torch to HBK. It was an emotional promo.

That's not to say that they cannot do it again. It's just I'd rather see them do something different than what they already did.

I remember that and I agree.

I could see this match getting alot of time on the PPV like a WWE or World Title match with alot of near falls from finishers until Ric can't go any longer and gets pinned, however, I can see Shawn do a sort of "I don't want to do it" gimmick in his match going for Sweet Chin Music.
