For those that follow ROH, this will probably be old but it's still something to maybe talk about.

Even people who can't stand super agent Larry Sweeney, Chris Hero and the rest of Sweet & Sour Inc. can't help cracking a smile at some of their antics. Whether it was the strut of Sweeney, the "athletic displays" of Chris Hero or the latest exploits of Bobby Dempsey, there was something entertaining about the group. Now that Sweeney has declared a "hostile takeover" of ROH by trying to sign all the talent, things have gotten deadly serious.

Sweeney has made his goal clear. He wants to sign ROH's most promising and best talent, lead them to titles and the top of the card to increase their value. Then he plans to profit by selling them to other promotions so that they won't be in ROH anymore. Sweeney is a notorious scumbag. There is nothing too low for Sweeney to sink to as evidenced at the "6th Anniversary Show" when he declared the hostile takeover.

Now the scumminess has rubbed off on Chris Hero, who just returned to ROH after a lengthy holdout by Sweeney. A new Hero returned to ROH in Boston and Edison. There are no more backflips or cartwheels, just an aggressive array of boots, forearms, strikes and other dangerous maneuvers. In fact, Hero knocked out Pelle Primeau in Edison. However, nothing showed Hero's new attitude more than when he humiliated Bobby Dempsey in Edison by forcing him to take off his shirt. Then things got vicious when Hero bloodied Dempsey with a malicious attack. Now Hero remains as the centerpiece of Sweeney's client list.

That list has grown recently. Adam Pearce has dissolved The Hangmen Three of himself, Brent Albright & BJ Whitmer with Shane Hagadorn. He sold out to Sweeney for what seems to be in a mysterious briefcase. BJ Whitmer refused to follow the course. As a result he was attacked by his former leader and is now out of action in ROH. Brent Albright is under Sweeney's leadership, but has shown signs of being reluctant to be represented by the super agent. Pearce & Hagadorn can rival Sweeney when it comes to being a dirty, rotten scoundrel. It appears that whatever is in a briefcase sealed this deal. Pearce & Hagadorn haven't let that briefcase out of their sights since Sweeney handed it to them. We have no clues as to what is in it.

Sweeney added a surprising name to his client list when he signed top prospect Eddie Edwards at the Boston event. Sweeney says that Edwards has a world of potential and he will make him into a star. Edwards has had good showings in both ROH and Pro Wrestling NOAH. Sweeney says he will put all the pieces together and lead Edwards to a lot of money.

Now Sweeney is trying to buyout the No Remorse Corps of FIP World Heavyweight Champion Roderick Strong and former ROH World Tag Team Champions Davey Richards & Rocky Romero. So far the NRC have firmly said "no" to Sweeney. The thought of Sweeney guiding Hero, Pearce, Albright, Edwards, Strong, Richards, Romero, Hagadorn and even Daniel Puder is scary. Fortunately, Strong is adamant about leading the NRC as the top faction in ROH.

Not all business for Sweet & Sour Inc. has been smooth sailing. SHIMMER Champion Sara Del Rey is not happy with her agent after his actions last time in New York. However, Sweeney has her contract under control and Del Rey doesn't have any options. This will be something to watch. Erick Stevens has also become a thorn in Sweet & Sour Inc.'s side. Claudio Castagnoli still wants to give Sweeney a beating. The NRC continue to resist Sweeney's courtship. Sweeney definitely has some issues he needs to address.

One thing that is for sure is that Sweeney has no morals when it comes to making money. Sweeney will continue to do business in Detroit, Chicago and at ROH's Manassas, Virginia debut. It all leads to Manhattan and the Hammerstein Ballroom where Sweeney will have celebrity guests from the TV show Survivor including old friend Jonny Fairplay. Only someone like Sweeney could call Fairplay a friend.

The smiles are gone. Sweeney has brought the ugly business side of sports to ROH. If he has his way he'll sell all your favorites away for a personal profit. We are in the middle of a hostile takeover. The man leading it is a serious threat capable of anything.
