Ring Of Jankowski's Honor
|
I attend all the Philly shows, and buy most of their tapes. Last year the hit new comerrs were Morishima along with Steen and Generico. This year the new star is Tyler Black. He had a four plus star match with Nigel that main event a PPV. He then went on to out brawl the Briscoes in Orlando, go on to beat the Murder City Machine Guns and win the tag belts and then beat Bryan Danielson. Black is one hell of a wrestler, and the way the crowd reacted to him on Saturday I think its safe to say Tyler Black is going to be your next world champ. |

Stand Back! There's a Hurricane Coming Through

Tyler Black is what is wrong with RoH. They have a tendency to take guys, any guys and put them in the spotlight no matter what. While I never will fault any company for wanting to create new stars, RoH has a tendency to not keep they guys they build up in the right spots. I know as a company that works with little contracted talent they can't afford to keep one or two guys as their main event and not build anyone else, but continually building up EVERYONE to main event status is foolish. A company needs a solid main event scene. While RoH has Danielson, Aries, Nigel etc, looking at the history of the RoH title you see one thing. There is no two time champion. A title needs certain guys to build up the prestige of the belt. While they do have long reigns, they don't have repeat reigns. Tyler is a good worker, but he shouldn't be sniffing the world title at this point. |
