Orton Injured

It's a fabulous new day, yes it is!
WrestleZone.com

-During his match with Triple H at tonight's One Night Stand pay-per-view, Randy Orton took a bad fall after being thrown over the top rope and apparently broke his collarbone in the process. During the broadcast you could hear Orton tell the referee about his injury. The announcers started selling the injury on the broadcast. The match was scheduled to go a bit longer, but they soon went to the finish. Orton remained out on the floor clutching his shoulder while the referee made the ten count. As soon as the match was over, medics quickly stormed ringside to check on Orton.

After the match, Orton was immediately taken into a room backstage to be examined. He was then sent to a local hospital to check out the severity of the injury.

-I can confirm that Randy Orton was taken to San Diego Medical Center before One Night Stand ended and has been diagnosed with a broken left collarbone.

The smilies aren't showing on the poll.

Thumbs down. I don't care if you don't like him or not, it's not cool when someone is legitimately injured.

Agree with D-L.

I don't like Orton but he was hot in the 'E' but now he is gonna be out for a few months.

The bump was sick and he looked pretty messed up after it, so I am not liking the injury at all...

Considering that Orton is the only person I've enjoyed in RAW's title scene in months, I guess it's a :td: for me although I don't really care that much overall.

I've really been getting into Orton over the past few months. I was hesitant to accept him as a main eventer at first, mostly because he was so bland and boring, but he's really been coming into his character and making himself stand out. I didn't expect Orton to get the title back anytime soon, but it's a shame he's going out.

I dont care whether he's a face or heel you could tell he was really injured and this wasnt just part of the match. The way he bounced off the floor was unbelieveable, im suprised he wasnt knocked out.

You could see in certain angles of the replay of his head bouncing off the floor and although they have those mats covering the concrete that still had to hurt like a bitch.

It's a shame Orton will be out of the picture for a little while to give him time to recover.

I understand what you are saying.. But this is a minor injury we are talking about. It's not something that will threaten his career or his health. It'll just keep him off TV for a while. If someone is absolutely disgusted by Orton, then I could see why they'd be happy for such a minor injury. Remember how many people were happy when Cena went out with a relatively minor injury? Same difference. It may be cold to be happy that someone got hurt, but as long as it's not a major life or career threatening injury, then I won't speak bad about someone that would be happy over a performer leaving TV under said circumstances.

I guess, just got to give it some time.

Cybrus i guess thats right, he'll be back in no time and your right about the whole Cena thing - although just recently getting back into the whole WWE thing recently, so many people on forums dislike Cena but the audience always seem to cheer him or the majority do?

Orton got an new theme!!! Omg I've been out of wrestling for too long.

I hate it when I see anybody get an legit injury. I hate it even worse when it's my favorite superstar in the whole bloody freaking show!

Damn, I'm going to youtube that bump or something.

I hope Orton is able to make an speedy recovery out of this. :(

Edit- I like the new song, I just saw it on Youtube. He needs an new video for it (Unless it's been changed because I'm watching the one from May 12th when he fought Cena.) He didn't feel too comfortable walking down the entrance ramp either with that song, well this one video I'm watching doesn't seem to me as if he's used to it like he was with the Burn In My Light one.

The best wrestler in WWE for the last half of 07 and all of 08, is gone. Pretty shitty. Hopefully it's not that long. I remember saying to myself, as long as Orton, Trips and Carlito stay on RAW, there will be no reason for me to watch any other shows. Now Orton's hurt, and I kinda think he might get drafted. Shitty, I might have to watch Smackdown now.

I don't think Orton will get drafted, if he does it'll be pretty crappy of them to do that. However I think they may move Carlito over to Friday night, I don't know why, it's just sticking around in my head.

Triple is always going to be on Raw.

I'm watching Raw tonight so I can get into everything again lol.

I didn't realize there was a thread for this, but yeah, it's not that great. I will admit Orton hasn't been that bad. He hasn't been great (pretty okay would by a good word),, but I'd still rather have him than Cena as champion anyday. But I've never seen anything like that before. Obviously in the past peoples' shoulders have dropped and people have gotten bumps on their pecs if they tear it or something, but I've never seen a bump like that right under the shoulder. Damn, that sucks.

-- Randy Orton doesn't need surgery for his broken left collarbone as the injury will heal on its own. He'll likely be out for about three months, so he should be back just after SummerSlam.

Great to hear he won't need surgery.

It's not really that great just because it's not an injury that needs surgery. It's still going to be a pain in the ass healing and will keep him out of action for months.

If you watch Rescue Me, you know pain pills are bad. Anyway, I hope Orton doesn't get addicted to them, he comes back better then ever and we get a much longer Age Of Orton.

It seems that Randy Orton's broken collarbone is worse than expected. The injured superstar was initially expected to return soon after Summerslam, but now his return has been push back.

Now we can only expect Orton to return sometime in October.

Randy Orton was injured during his match against Triple H at One Night Stand after landing awkwardly from being thrown over the top rope.

That seems to usually be the case in injuries.

"Oh, he'll be back in a month, month and a half at most."

*two weeks later*

"Holy shit, he's fucked up pretty bad. Did I say a month? I meant ten."

Figured as much, no biggie really. They can hype his return at No Mercy, where he won his first WWE Title reign, if it fits in the return time slot.

It's only been a few weeks since his injury, but does anyone really miss Orton? I'm just saying, for as hard as he was pushed and as over as he was suppose to be, his absence doesn't seem that noticeable.

Yeah because all the Regal fans stopped watching. All 2 of them. Neither Regal nor Orton will be missed in my household.

I was actually on the mind set that Orton was going to take time off after ONS for some reason, so I was prepared for a lengthy absence from him.

Randy Orton is expected to be back to WWE by SummerSlam. Orton was telling people last night at Raw that he feels good about his rehabilitation for his broken left clavicle and is looking forward to getting back as soon as he can. All indications are that Orton will return on Raw although I was told that a final decision as to what brand he will work on will not be made until he comes back.

I'd like to see him feud with Batista, although I have to say that the promos for the feud would be the weakest part. :ohdear:
