It's a fabulous new day, yes it is!
WrestleNewz

We're hearing that John Cena is injured. We will have more details on this later this evening but the word is that he has some sort of neck injury. It may have happened at the RAW live event at Madison Square Garden over the weekend. Stay tuned for more details.

WrestleNewz

John Cena is currently working through a neck injury. The MSG match this past weekend was changed from a singles match to a tag match with Cena and Batista vs. Kane and Chris Jericho with Cena sitting on the apron for most of the match. Apparently Cena has been having these troubles with his neck for a few weeks now, likely before SummerSlam. One source reports that WWE went John Cena in yesterday for some medical tests on his neck.

Until he is 100% cleared to wrestle, WWE is probably going to book Cena to protect him from getting hurt anymore until the Unforgiven pay-per-view match. We should have more details on Cena's injury later on.

Cena injured = :tu:

This could mean that they'll bring back Orton faster. :td:

Sucks to see Cena hurt again, he's arguably a huge thing for RAW and is a main man. Hate him or not, he is the best thing to happen with the E for a while. I bet you that your hatred toward him is because of his streak and his "questioned" knowledge of only 5 moves...

Orton coming back is going to beast. He can finally get that title off of the joke of a champion CM Drunk...

I can't wait to see Punk lose that gold, I wouldn't even care if they gave it to Hornswoggle for jokes at this point...

I think the second Cena came back RAW had a huge jump in viewers proof that he is a main person, i dont know if this will hurt RAW raitings though, or if they will have Cena just do little wrestling things till he gets better.

I will take Orton over Cena anyday. Both can be major draws.

They're still equal to me.

I'll admit Orton is better in the ring than Cena, but as far as mic skills goes, Cena is better than Orton.

Cena aint really bad in the ring, its just his moves are what the WWE want him to do...he is playing the brawler person...And he does that well...

I would be like to see the statistics that support this statement. Because I remember the ratings not going down when Cena first got hurt and not going up when Cena returned. I don't think any one person really has an affect on ratings anymore. Each show remains within their norms regardless of what is shown or who is featured.

I thought someone in here said that..i'll try and get the ratings but I could be wrong.

When Cena got injured, the ratings decreased a little bit but eventually growed back a little. The only times it was higher than normal was due to events not related to Cena or Orton at all (Show-Mayweather post-punch at No Way Out, Flair, the 15th Anniversary of Raw, etc.).

Ratings jumped a little won Punk won the belt, if I recall correctly.

That's about the only difference I've noticed, although that's not saying much since I pay no attention to the ratings for the most part.

The Draft also had is effect on Raw's ratings too, not just Punk winning the belt.

Is there a pic of the spinning WHC belt leaked?

Considering that the World Heavyweight Championship is the best looking belt in WWE, no spinning championship is good thing.

And I seeing that John Cena bores me to tears at all times in wrestling, him going away (regardless of the reason) is good thing, too.

I wonder if this is a real injury or just a way to get him off TV to do another movie.

Either way, no Cena is good Cena.

Although since they showed the footage of his injury (although it looked really tame), it's probably legit.

It seems like real injury so I'm going with it being legit.

I don't know about John Cena. I'm not a real fan of the man, but he does add a certain energy to the show. He doesn't need to be around the WWE Championship as much as he is, but he definitely has a place on the show. There's something to be said about Cena's presence. When he's not shoved down your throat like he's been for the last two years, he's actually quite entertaining.

YAY CENA'S GONE!!! There is a God!!! I just want him to go away from wrestling forever, I wish nothing bad on the guy himself I actually feel bad about him getting injured because from what I hear he's a really nice guy. But him being injured means I wont have to sit through his exact same thing on the mic ( and maybe some new wording thrown in every now and again ) and his pathetic excuse of talent. I don't care if WWE tells him to wrestle that way or not, it's still pathetic.

I'm going to miss Cena. The stuff with him and Cryme Tyme was some of my favorite in a while. Hope he has a speedy recovery and is back by Mania.

I have yet to find Cryme Tyme entertaining. The thing with them and Cena trashing JBL's limo was fucking retarded.

I find it hilarious that the biggest complaint during his long run was that he never got injured once, while everybody else around him were dropping like flies. Now he's been injured twice in the past year, and hasn't held the title since last October.

Cena and Orton not on the show is hurting Raw for me right now. No Cena takes a lot of star power of the show. I mean seriously everyone rather watch Cena then Batista.

Of the two, I think Batista is more fun to watch. His character isn't cheesie, his movies look legitimately painful, and he just looks like a guy you don't want to piss off.

Cybrus how can you respect a guy who kissed HHH's ass to get to the top. And because of Batista's sloppy work Cena is injured for god knows how long.

- John Cena underwent surgery earlier today to repair a herniated disc in his neck. WWE.com updated Cena's status following the surgery. "I think John’s prognosis is excellent," neurosurgeon Joseph Maroon said. "He should be able to return to wrestling in two to four months. John will be working out next week. We performed this same procedure on three all pro NFL players; and all three resumed their football careers.”

Doesn't he still have a movie to shoot?

According to the news report in the very first post of this thread, Cena has been having these neck injuries prior to working with Batista. Seems very markish to blame Batista for Cena's injury if that's nothing more than the storyline reason for Cena going out.

Batista is easily more entertaining than Cena. I find him better on the mic, better in the ring, and just more fun to watch. The fact that Triple H hand picked Batista and helped get him over doesn't mean a damn thing. I don't see how that could even be used against Batista.

Oh I read on another website, Batista couldn't handle the turnbuckle move and didn't have the strength to make sure Cena landed on his back instead of neck.

Cena destorys Batista on the mic in my opinion, I mean the crowd reaction he gets is so huge when he talks. Cena has had more motyc then Batista the past two years and Batista has wrestled more matches.
