Shawn Micahels suffered an injury at the WWE Raw tapings on Sunday night in St. Louis. He is believed to have suffered a torn triceps muscle, according to Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com. Michaels is slated to appear in an unsanctioned match against Chris Jericho at next Sunday's Unforgiven pay-per-view.

Powell's POV: This was be a huge blow to WWE and the Raw brand, which is already missing John Cena and Randy Orton. With Mr. Kennedy and Umaga out on the Smackdown side, the injuries are piling up for WWE.

They never said he wasn't wrestling. The fact is, Michaels has only wrestled like twice in the last few months, only on PPV's anyway, so from a wrestling standpoint it's not really a huge blow. But they never said he couldn't compete at Unforgiven, so at this point nothing has been lost as of yet.

Are these the same guys who said Jeff Hardy had a really bad neck injury and wouldn't be competing at Summerslam? After that I'm only going on the injuries WWE.com says.

So you're saying Randy Orton actually got into a motorcycle accident?

I wouldn't worry about it, guys. I'm sure that they'll find a way to work the injury into the storyline. As long as they can keep this going until WrestleMania, then I'm a very happy man.

Actually I think it would be a great thing to add into a storyline. Like they can go the injury-prone route, saying that Jericho not only hurt his eye, but hurt his arm too. Then Michaels can try to wrestle through the injury, then have Jericho put him out of action for even longer, let Michaels rest, then have him come back and add onto the storyline. I'm sure it could work, even though it might turn messy because Michaels is already coming off that other "injury" and played a lot off of that.

Or they could do something where Jericho mentions the injury and how Michaels was trying to hide it from him and everyone else, so he doesn't know how weak he is.

Actually, they have kind of backed themselves in a corner with HBK and Jericho doing the whole signing a release to have a non sanctioned match thing. Why would HBK back out because of an injury now? He is supposed to be injured already and doesn't care.

After a comprehensive examination, it has been determined that Shawn Michaels suffered a small tear on his left triceps during a confrontation with Chris Jericho, but is medically cleared to wrestle.

"Before the MRI," Michaels told WWE.com, "my doctor was 99.9 percent sure that I had a full tear of my triceps and that I would experience bruising, swelling and a loss of my range of motion. Through the power of prayer, none of those things happened and I am ready for Unforgiven."

So I wonder how brutal of a beat down he'll get to excuse him off for TV for awhile to fully heal?

How long does it take for such an injury to heal? As Whosey pointed out, HBK really hasn't been wrestling much on TV over the past few months. If it doesn't take too long to heal, then they could still use HBK like they have been.

Yeah, but how much longer could they use him like they have? It's kind of worked lately because he's been considering retirement and been injured by Jericho, e.t.c. but what after the PPV? Go back to being injurd by Jericho or considering retirement?

Depending on how Unforgiven goes, It'd be cool to see Michaels go away for a few months. Maybe with the reason that he needs to figure out what he's going to do, along with heal his body.

I would love to see that happen and see him return at the Rumble, costing Jericho his chance at victory so they can bring back their feud and make it last for one final epic confrontation at WrestleMania to really cement their feud as one of the greatest WWE has seen in years (on the level of Edge vs Undertaker).
