Stand Back! There's a Hurricane Coming Through

I'm sticking with Firefox until I hear some reports about this one. I have a Google tool bar so I'm not sure what features are so great that they merit a switch. |

I'm doing a degree course in computer systems, and as far as I know (from people that work with em) google are the company to be in at the moment. I can safely assume regardless of my mozilla love that their browser will be pretty awesome.. and I'm really interested to see how it fairs on the multi processor environment we're accustomed to |

I haven't even upgraded to Firefox 3 yet, but now Google is taking a swing at the Browser market? I'm with Purps, I'll wait until some feedback hits the Interweb. |

I'm sure I'll try it eventually, but it'll take a pretty damn impressive browser for me to give up Opera. After four years or so, nothing else feels right to use. |

STAY HYPED!!!

I feel the same about Firefox. I've used it for so long that nothing else feels as good or as easy to use to me. I've tried Opera. I've tried Safari. I go right back to Firefox. I'll probably try Google eventually, but I think I've become too much of a Firefox mark to make a permanent switch. |

I downloaded it last night. I don't like it. It looks nice when sitting on a web page; it's clean and stylish, but I think it's terrible in function. I really don't like the way they handle bookmarks. The tab browsing is a step behind Opera's, which allows you to open a new tab by either pressing the button next to others or by double clicking (I double click). I don't know where anything is and feel like I have to go on a hunt to do simple things. It's speed is about the same as Opera's, maybe a hair faster. I can't see myself using Chrome as anything but a backup browser, much like I used to use Avant Browser for when I first switched to Opera. |

Ah I agree but you have to give it time, some of the features mentioned are actually pretty decent, and considering changing browsers is as hard as giving up a child, it is always going to be be difficult to make the jump straight away The one thing I don't like about it is there isn't any proper download manager.. |

I just can't see anything about it that would make me want to switch from Opera other than it looks better. Everything else I've seen or experienced is either worse or the same as Opera.

My kid's more talented and pretty than you...
What about the porno window that doesn't clock up history or temporary internet files... does Opera have that?

Don't think so. But then again, I don't need it. I'm not, never have been, and never will be paranoid about that kind of stuff. That's not a feature that will attract to me to their browser. |

I need it while I'm at home as my sneaky cunt father has a degree in IT and has been using my laptop and my mother takes it randomly... I know I can delete history and what not but finding empty history is admitting I have a chronic masturbation problem... |
