You mean they just now realize that most people over the age of 13 hate Cena? Where have they been the last 3 or 4 years? |

With their heads firmly up their asses? I don't know what they could do to repackage Cena without tampering with what he's done right (at least as far as the 'E is concerned). Maybe he'll drop his ties to rap altogether and/or maybe don a pair of tights again? That's really the only thing I could think of without completely changing Cena around or trying the anti-authority stuff they've tried in the past with him again. |

They could try that, but actually sustain it and do it properly. There's no reason to not try any anti-authority stuff (it's a timeless character), they've just got to keep at it in a high-quality way. So for instance, instead of chucking Bischoff in the garbage bin (anti-hero) and the next second turn around to wave to the kids in the crowd, they could just stick to one side. Neither the anti-hero (Austin) or the hero (Hogan) are dead. People still love their Batmans and they still love their Bart Simpsons. |

What ties does Cena have to his former rap gimmick? Aside from dressing the same (and his attire really doesn't scream "rapper") and his entrance music, he's pretty much moved as far away from that gimmick as he possibly can. I was thinking earlier today about Cena, oddly enough. I was thinking about how it was just this time last year that he went out and WWE had him return as a surprise entrant in the Royal Rumble. I'm thinking they'll do the same this year and have him win two in a row like Hogan, HBK, and Austin have done in the past. I would love to see a heel turn, but don't expect it to happen. I actually enjoyed Cena when he first turned heel with his rap gimmick. It was cool until he started getting cheesie. Then his character kept getting cheesier and cheesier until we are here today and "JBL is poopy" is sprayed on a limo.

He still tends to talk as though he was raised in the rap circles in Detroit and not West Newbury for one. Not all the time, but most of it.Also, his appearance and catchphrases are still heavy hip hop themed. At least he's not making everything spin anymore. |

I'd love to see him work as the leader of a heel stable with Cryme Tyme. |

Who would Cryme Tyme feud with? Aren't there like only two tag teams on RAW, one of which is already a heel team and the champs (deservingly so, too)?

I'd like to see him as a tweener, where he would be able to mold his character from the best of both worlds, with less cons as possible. |

Yeah tweeners are never a good idea imo. Too hard to work right, and the audience doesn't know where to stand. |

Yeah, that's very true. Hmm, maybe they're referring to dropping the talk about "chain gang" and "marine", even changing his whole ring attire? |

A return to tights.
Although hopefully not those terrible tights he had in the beginning. God, he had some ugly color combinations. |

He should wear his hair like a gay hairdresser and put on some short trunks...wait...Jericho is already doing that. Nevermind. |

I hope they don't mess with his ring attire. I don't think Cena would look right wrestling in anything other than jean shorts. |

That's just because you're used to it. There was a time when Triple H would've look weird wrestling in trunk rather than long tights, or Kane wrestling with only long tights (rather than a full body suit). He'd switch to tights, it'd look weird for awhile, but months later, you'd be used to it. |

Trips used those short things because of his quads or something. Anyway, I think Cena being re-packaged is the best move, but keep him as a face, but turn him to be more appealing to adults instead of only drawing from kids and chicks. He needs to be a little edgier, or back to going to the full on Rapper gimmick, which originally got Cena fans. |

Which are the ones he currently has: under the age of 15 and girls. |

I was talking about the long tights he used to use before becoming "the Game". He wore long tights (like the kind Jericho or Michaels' used to wear) he wore from his debut in wrestling up until about 2000.

Yeah, that is a solid arguement. But truthfully, I still hate Kane's ring attire and wish he'd go back to the full body suit (with one arm exposed) or even the tank top looking top he used to wear. Another recent change that I simply cannot get used to is Jericho. He wrestled in pants far too long to just accept him in shorts. And AJ Style wrestling in pants instead of those shorts looks weird to me as well. I don't adapt to change in appearance very well.
