Rey Mysterio vs. Kane opens the show in a No Holds Barred match.
Scores were No Holds Barred 39%, Falls Count Anywhere 35%, 2/3 falls 26%
Mysterio won with a series of chair shots, a 619 and springboard splash. Hopefully this ends the program. Decent opener, nowhere close to what you expect from a Mysterio match but nothing wrong with it.
Chris Jericho tried to recruit Ted DiBiase, Cody Rhodes and Manu to attack Batista before their match. They gave him a thumbs down.
Matt Hardy's match is up now for the ECW title. 6% for Mark Henry, 69% for Evan Bourne and 25% for Finlay.
Bourne missed a shooting star press, but Bourne used a backslide off a twist of fate attempt for a near fall. But Hardy hit the twist of fate for the pin. Good match. Crowd didn't really know how to react to it because Hardy didn't play subtle heel like a champion usually does against the underdog young babyface challenger. Apparently the terminology ban has already been changed again because Striker called them 2 athletes, 2 entertainers and 2 superstars.
Well, Punk won't be on the PPV lol. CT vs Miz/Morrison.

Was it a Vickie screw-up or a technical screw-up from the people in charge of showing the results? Still, she didn't improvise.

Well, the voting results of the Taker/Show match was a Last man Standing match, but Vickie misspoke and proudly declared "I Quit" as the winning vote. Then she hilariously tries to cover it up by naming off the match choices again.

Oh..okay. Here is a recap so far for those that didn't buy it:
- Quote:
-
United States Champion Shelton Benjamin vs. the fan's choice of MVP, R-Truth or Festus.
This was a preview match shown on WWE.com. R-Truth received 59% of the vote to win, with Festus getting 26% and MVP getting 15%.
They locked up at the bell, and Benjamin backed Truth into a corner for the break. Benjamin hit a knee to the gut, then they traded punches, with Truth getting the better of it. Truth leapfrogged a charge, split on the mat to duck a clothesline, and hit a spin kick for a two count. Truth kicked away a backdrop, but Benjamin caught him with a Hot Shot, then delivered a running kick for a two count. Benjamin pounded Truth on the mat, then applied a chinlock. Truth elbowed out of it, and the two traded punches again. Benjamin reversed a whip, but Truth dodged a Stinger Splash and hit a pair of clotheslines and a dropkick. Truth hit the spinning forearm, then went to the top rope. Benjamin leaped to the top rope, but Truth shoved him off and hit a missile dropkick for a two count. Truth then ran into a faceplant by Benjamin out of nowhere for the three count at the four minute mark.
Winner: Shelton Benjamin.
The PPV opened with a montage of WWE superstars acting like voting tonight wasn't important, then changing their minds when they "realize" it controls their future.
Rey Mysterio vs. Kane in the fan's choice of a Falls Count Anywhere match, a No Holds Barred match or a 2 Out Of 3 Falls match.
No Holds Barred won with 39% of the vote. Falls Count Anywhere got 35% and 2 Out Of 3 Falls got 26%. Todd Grisham is manning the "Cyber Sunday Control Center".
Mysterio was backed against the ropes at the start, but he dodged a charging Kane, sending him to the floor. Rey dove onto him with a somersault senton on the floor, then pulled out a kendo stick and hit Kane with it. They got back in the ring, and Rey tried to use a stop sign, but Kane booted him then whipped him ribs first into the ringpost. Kane hit a baseball slide kick, further pushing Rey into the post. Kane tied Rey's feet with a camera cable, hooked Rey's chin, and pulled him across the ring post. Kane then pulled Rey to the floor and rammed him back first into the ringpost, then tossed him back into the ring. Kane covered Rey for a two count.
Kane whipped Rey into the corner, then slammed him and dropped a legdrop. Kane bent Rey over his knee with a backbreaker, but Rey battled back until Kane dropped him with a boot to the face again. Kane hit another backbreaker, but Rey raked his eyes and hit a kick to the head, then hit an enzugiri. Rey set up for a 619, but Kane came back with another kick. Kane went for a chair, but Rey charged him and Kane lifted him. Rey flipped over him into a reverse DDT. Rey used the chair for a two count, but Kane kicked out again. Kane went for a section of ring steps and set it up in the corner, but Rey slid out of a slam attempt and gave Kane a drop toe hold into the steps. Rey hit Kane in the gut, then the leg, then the head, then the back with a chair. Kane fell in 619 position, but as Rey went for the move, Kane grabbed him by the throat. Kane lifted Rey, who turned it into a rana. Kane fell in 619 position, then Rey hit the move. Rey followed with a springboard splash for the pin at the ten minute mark.
Winner: Rey Mysterio.
The Divas were shown in vignettes promoting their costumes for the contest. You can vote on WWE.com for the winner.
Backstage, Chris Jericho tried to convince Ted DiBiase Jr., Manu and Cody Rhodes to take out Batista, showing they could go to the "next level". They refused, noting they may have to defend their belts tonight.
Theodore R. Long and Tiffany entered the control center to announce the results of the ECW match poll.
ECW Champion Matt Hardy vs. the fan's choice of Evan Bourne, Finlay or Mark Henry.
Evan Bourne got 69% of the vote, Finlay 25% and Henry 6%.
They locked up and Hardy applied a side headlock. Bourne went for a shoulderblock, but Hardy knocked him down. Hardy hit a shoulderblock, but Bourne hit a dropkick. There was a chant for Matt. Bourne snapmared Hardy, but Hardy took him down with a wristlock. Bourne used a bodyscissors into a victory roll for a two count, then a sunset flip for another two. Hardy tried to grab a Side Effect, but Bourne turned it into a cradle for a two count. Bourne hit a jumping knee, a spin kick and a rana. Hardy sent Bourne to the apron, and Bourne went for a springboard, but Hardy forearmed him to the floor. Back in the ring, Hardy rammed Bourne into the corner, then hit a clothesline for a two count. Hardy hit a clothesline in a corner, then went for a bulldog, but Bourne rammed Hardy in a corner and went for a jujigatame. Hardy escaped, but Bourne armdragged him down and applied an armbar.
Hardy punched out, but Bourne tripped Hardy and hit a standing moonsault for a two count. Bourne applied a hammerlock, but Hardy hit some forearms. Bourne retaliated with a side kick to the head. Bourne went to the top rope, but Hardy rolled out of the ring. Bourne teased a slingshot, Hardy moved, Bourne put on the breaks and went for an Asai moonsault, but Hardy tripped him and he hit the ropes hard. Hardy pulled Bourne to the floor hard on his back, then tossed him back into the ring. Hardy hit a pair of slams, then delivered a second rope elbow to the back for a two count. Hardy put Evan Bourne in an abdominal stretch, then pulled up on Bourne's leg as well. Bourne punched out of it, only to get decked with a clothesline. Hardy kicked Bourne in the gut, then set up for a Splash Mountain powerbomb, but Bourne turned it into a rana.
Bourne hit some forearms and kicks, but Hardy absorbed them and grabbed a Side Effect for a two count. Hardy hit a second Side Effect, but Bourne kicked out again. Hardy went to the second rope, but as he jumped off, Bourne caught him with a spinkick. Both men were slow to get up. Bourne hit some kicks, then Hardy tried a whip, but Bourne hit a walking the ropes moonsault for a two count. Bourne hit a back elbow and a back kick for a two count. Bourne went to the top rope and hit the double flying knee for a two count. Bourne set up for a spinkick, but Hardy ducked it and cradled Bourne, with a handful of tights, for a two count. Hardy went for a backbreaker, but Bourne spun out of it into a armbar takedown. Bourne went to the top rope, but Hardy met him there. Bourne knocked Hardy to the mat, and went for the Shooting Star Press. Hardy moved and Bourne hit the mat. Hardy went for the Twist Of Fate, but Bourne reversed it into a backslide for a two count. As they got up, Hardy hit the Twist Of Fate out of nowhere for the pin at the twelve minute mark.
Winner: Matt Hardy.
Post-match, Hardy shook hands with Bourne and helped him to his feet.
They showed some more Diva Halloween Costume entrants.
Fan's choice of the following tag team matches: Miz & John Morrison vs. Cryme Tyme, William Regal & Layla vs. Jamie Noble & Mickie James or World tag team Champions Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase vs. CM Punk & Kofi Kingston.
Miz & John Morrison vs. Cryme Tyme won with 38% of the vote. Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase vs. CM Punk & Kofi Kingston got 35% and William Regal & Layla vs. Jamie Noble & Mickie James got 27%.
Morrison started out with JTG, jockeying for position on the lockup. They broke on the ropes and JTG shoved Morrison. Morrison grabbed a side headlock, but JTG rolled out and hit a back elbow for a two count. Morrison hit a shot to the gut, then a forearm. JTG punched away a backdrop. Miz tagged in, but JTG hit a dropkick and tagged in Shad for a clothesline in the corner. Shad slammed Miz for a one count. Shad slammed Miz, then tagged in JTG and dropped him on top of Miz from his shoulders for a two count. Miz hit a shot to the throat and tagged in Morrison for a double elbow. JTG backed Morrison into his corner for a tag, and Shad tossed JTG into a corner splash on Morrison. Miz and Morrison were thrown to the floor, and Shad press slammed JTG out of the ring onto Miz and Morrison. Shad tossed Morrison back into the ring for a two count.
Morrison hit a jawbreaker on Shad and backed him into his corner. Shad fought them both, until Miz hooked his leg and Morrison dropped a knee on it. Miz then went to work on the leg with a leglace, then tagged in Morrison, who kicked Shad in the back. Morrison took down Shad with leg kicks, then applied a single leg crab. Miz tagged in and kept up the leg work, until Shad kicked him away. JTG tagged in and hit a shoulderblock and a rolling neck snap. JTG knocked Morrison off the apron, then hit Miz with a side neckbreaker. JTG went on the ropes, but Morrison distracted him and Miz knocked him to the floor, giving them the advantage. Morrison choked JTG on the ropes, then blasted him with a running knee for a two count.
Miz tagged in and hit the through the ropes clothesline in the corner for a two count. Miz put JTG in a chinlock, and went to catapult him into Morrison, but JTG gook advantage of it and punched Morrison off the apron. JTG made the hot tag to Shad, who cleaned house, with Shad hitting Morrison with a flapjack for a two count. Shad threw Morrison into the corner, but as he charged in, Morrison dropkicked his bad leg. Morrison tried to put his feet on the ropes, but JTG knocked it off. The match broke down, with all four men in the ring. As the referee tried to get JTG out of the ring, Shad lifted Morrison for the pin. Miz clipped Shad's bad knee, and Morrison turned the slam attempt into the Midnight Drive for the pin at the ten minute mark.
Winners: Miz & John Morrison.
They showed some more Diva Halloween Costume entrants.
Chris Jericho tried to convince Great Khali to help him out with Batista. No luck there, either.
Intercontinental Champion Santino Marella vs. the fan's choice of Roddy Piper, Honky Tonk Man or Goldust.
Santino Marella came out to cut a promo, and mentioned Shaquille O'Neal, who was seated at ringside. Santino "realized" he was there, and moved on with his promo, which centered on athletic "has beens".
Honky Tonk Man won with 35%. Roddy Piper had 24% and Goldust had 31%. Piper shook Honky's man for winning the vote. Honky came out, no Jimmy Hart, and took the mic. Honky cut a promo on Santino saying Santino can't sing or dance like the Honky Tonk Man. Honky said Santino could be champion for ten years, and still not be as great as the Honky Tonk Man. Honky then danced, then Santino danced, and hit Honky with a cheap shot. They locked up, and Santino backed Honky into a corner, but Honky reversed out of it. Honky put Santino in a side headlock and hit a right hand. Honky grabbed another headlock, then hit a shoulderblock. Beth Phoenix, from ringside, tripped Honky Tonk, but the referee saw it and disqualified Santino at the less-than-one-minute mark.
Winner via disqualification: Honky Tonk Man.
Santino Marella screamed at Beth Phoenix for costing him the match on this "important" Pay-per-view. As Santino and Beth went to leave, Goldust's music hit and he came out. Then Piper's music hit, and he came out, to a pop. Piper spat his gum at Marella. Marella ran back into the ring to avoid them, and was soon trapped between all three veterans. Goldust gave him a gourdbuster, Piper gave him a series of punches, and Honky Tonk gave Santino the Shake, Rattle, N' Roll neckbreaker. Honky Tonk man slipped, I think on Goldust's wig, as he got up.
Still to come:
- World Champion Chris Jericho vs. Batista with the fan's choice of referee: Steve Austin, Shawn Michaels or Randy Orton. - WWE Champion Triple H vs. the fan's choice of: Jeff Hardy, Vladimir Kozlov or a Triple Threat match with both men. - The Undertaker vs. Big Show with the fan's choice of a Knockout Match, an I Quit match or a Last Man Standing match. - A WWE Diva Halloween Costume contest.

WWE won't ever get that Koslov sucks. He'll be world champ in a month.
- Quote:
-
Backstage, Chris Jericho pleaded his case to Raw General Manager Mike Adamle, saying he had no chance of retaining his championship if the referee stipulation stood. Jericho tried to intimidate Adamle, who wouldn't back down. Suddenly, Jericho looked at his phone, then said he and Adamle would discuss it later and walked off.
A WWE Diva Halloween Costume contest.
Tazz announced that voting in the Halloween Costume contest was over, and brought out all the Divas in their outfits. After a really long drum roll, Mickie James, who was dressed as Tomb Raider, won. Then a huge brawl broke out with all the Divas. The heel Divas were all thrown out of the ring, and the babyface Divas were left standing.
Winner: Mickie James.
I want to see those pictures ASAP!!! Mickie

The history leading to the WWE Championship match was shown.
WWE Champion Triple H vs. the fan's choice of: Jeff Hardy, Vladimir Kozlov or a Triple Threat match with both men.
Jeff Hardy won with 57%, Kozlov had 5% and 38% wanted the Triple Threat match. Unlike the other matches, Hardy and Kozlov were not standing together when the results were revealed.
They locked up, with HHH backing Hardy into the corner. He broke clean, then reminded Hardy how close he gets to the title without winning it. Hardy grabbed a hammerlock, but Triple H used a drop toe hold to escape, only for Jeff to grab it again. Triple H reversed, grabbed a side mare, and took Jeff down. Jeff shoved off Triple H, fell down to a shoulderblock, but hit a hiptoss. Triple H hit an upkick, but as he got to his feet Jeff grabbed an armdrag. Hardy leapfrogged Triple H in a corner and teased a Twist Of Fate, but Triple H countered and set up for a Pedigree, but Hardy shoved it off. They locked up again and traded headlocks and headscissor reversals until Hardy scored with another armdrag. There was a "Hardy" chant as Triple H broke out of an armbar with shoulderblocks in the corner. Triple H ran into a back elbow and Hardy went to the top rope, but Triple H shoved him off the top and Hardy crashed into the security wall on the floor.
Hardy crawled back into the ring, and HHH tossed Hardy shoulder first into the ringpost, then cradled him for a two count. Triple H applied an armbar, but Jeff punched out of it. He kicked away a backdrop, then went for a mule kick, but Triple H dodged it and scored a two count, then went back to work on the arm. Hardy punched out of it again, but Triple H caught him with a facebuster on the knee. Triple H then ran the ropes, but Hardy caught him with a clothesline. Hardy hit a double legdrop between the legs, then a dropkick to a seated HHH for a two count. Triple H reversed a whip, but Hard floated over a slam and hit a gourdbuster for a two count. Hardy hit a clothesline in the corner, then went for the elevated kick, but Triple H caught him and hit a spinebuster for a two count.
Triple H whipped Hardy into a corner, but Hardy jumped onto the ropes and went for a bodypress. HHH caught it and drove Jeff into the mat with a Crippler Crossface. Hardy started to go towards the ropes, but Triple H pulled him back into the middle of the ring with the crossface. Hardy reversed it into a cradle for a two count. Triple H got to his feet quickly and kicked Hardy out of the ring. Triple H went to the floor and tried to whip him into the steps, but Hardy reversed it and sent Triple H into the steps. Hardy then took a running start, and jumped off the ringsteps into a leg lariat, sandwiching Triple H into the security wall.
They got back into the ring, and Hardy went to the top rope and hit the Whisper In The Wind. Hardy went to the top again as Triple H was getting up and hit a second Whisper. Triple H kicked out at two. Jeff Hardy hit the elevated kick in the corner for a two count. Hardy called for the Twist Of Fate and measured Triple H for it. Hardy went for it, but Triple H shoved Hardy into the corner. Triple H kicked Hardy and went for a Pedigree, but Hardy pulled his legs out and rolled over for a two count. Triple H went for a sleeper, but Hardy lunged forward and Triple H went into the turnbuckles. Jeff Hardy hit the Twist Of Fate for a two count. Hardy nailed the Swanton Bomb, then instead of going for the cover, went for a second Swanton. This time, Triple H got his knees up and Hardy crashed into them. Both men got up and Triple H went for a Pedigree, but Hardy broke out and hit a mule kick. Triple H fell to the floor. Hardy hit a pescado, then tossed Triple H back into the ring. Hardy went to the top rope, but Triple H punched him in the gut, crotching him in the corner. Hardy leaned over and Triple H grabbed the double underhook, pulled Jeff off the ropes, and hit the Pedigree for the pin at the sixteen minute mark.
Winner: Triple H.

Stone Cold by a landslide. Was their ever any doubt? The only person that stands a chance of beating Austin in a popularity contest would be The Rock.

What? Oh, please don't be serious! He's serious. I guess this will lead to Orton getting the title.
And Orton got the Stunner.
Last year, Austin was the ref in Batista's match. Batista wins. This year, Austin the ref again, Batista wins again.

Austin has a boner for Batista. ...Kennedy!
I was really enjoying Jericho's run as champion. This reign went so much better than his Undisputed Title reign. It's a shame they didn't run with him longer.

Just like the Undisputed title reign, Jericho gets buried again.

Caldwell from PWTorch has his take on Batista's victory...
- Quote:

WWE recognized a problem. They provided their own form of a solution.
The problem for the past few weeks has been instability on Raw, with Chris Jericho's title reign on top of the brand representing another in a line of weak champions. WWE spent two months portraying C.M. Punk as an undeserving champion this summer. Jericho then followed with another short stint that focused on his weaknesses and lack of qualifications as champion.
Raw viewers have grown tired of the instability on top, as evidenced by the declining ratings. Enter Batista. He gives the Raw brand instant credibility as the top wrestler...excuse me...entertainer on Monday nights. Batista has been presented as a fierce fighter and cool cat for the last several months, which has positioned him to be taken seriously on Day 1 tomorrow night.
Based on the constant stream of John Cena propaganda videos that aired on the Cyber Sunday PPV broadcast, we can expect Cena to take a considerable role at the Survivor Series PPV. It would seem logical to book the Batista vs. Cena II match in Boston to give Cena the hero's return and create an intense atmosphere of anti-Cena and pro-Cena sentiment, even in his hometown area.
The build-up on Raw for the next month would be exactly what WWE needs to re-focus the Raw brand on top stars having conflict and seeing how it plays out. Randy Orton could also enter the picture if WWE chooses to go the Batista vs. Orton direction to play up their Evolution history.
Regardless, Batista on top is WWE's quick fix to a problem of stagnant and somewhat drab TV programming that has been the norm on Raw the past few weeks.
I don't think Jericho was a bad champion. The problem was that he followed CM Punk's reign, which was booked in a shitty fashion.

This is way worst than when Mysterio was champion. What is? If you are saying Batista as champ is worse than Rey as champ, then you are way wrong on this one. Batista has been a decent champion several times already having memorable feuds against Triple H, Undertaker, HBK, and others.

I never really gave in to the idea of voting for who you want for this ppv cause you never know if they are already chosen no matter who votes.

I never really gave in to the idea of voting for who you want for this ppv cause you never know if they are already chosen no matter who votes. I don't see why they wouldn't go with the votes. Firstly, they book the shows they want to all year long, so even if the fans through a monkey wrench in their plans, WWE would be able to press the re-set buttons. Secondly, WWE can easily manipulate the fans into voting the way they want. They just have the superstars lean on one option heavier than the others. And on top of that, WWE themselves decide what fans get to vote on. It's not like fans can make drastic booking changes. Everything is set up in a nice, neat parameter that all fit within WWE's plans anyway.
