WWE has taken a shine to calling themselves the "WWE Universe" whenever they mention the company as a whole and/or the WWE fans. I haven't seen it talked about anywhere else (feel free to tell me if I have missed it), so what does everyone think of this new catchphrase by WWE? Is it cool and catchy or is it kind of lame? |

It's probably he name of the new era of WWE (like attitude), and I think it isn't a good name. |

It just puts greater emphasis on the fact that everything going on in the ring is fiction, which makes it harder to mark out to, in my opinion. |

Personally, I can't stand the name. I preferred the "WWE Fan Nation". |

It's a fabulous new day, yes it is!

They've been talking about it for a good while on tv. It's annoying, regardless of the quality that WWE displays on their shows and PPVs. |

You see, the problem there is that it ignores the massive amount of business that the WWE does overseas. But the name sounds kinda shit. Almost as shit as that stupid "The Power is Here" that they used a few years ago. Boo. |

Wasn't it "The Power is Back"? I agree, though, that it wasn't a good tagline. |

Hmm, something like that anyway. The wording is forgettable but the idea of that line isn't. Frankly, I think it was a bit embarrasing. Two reasons: a) it's corny b) it's a lie |

"The ____ Universe" is a phrase used to speak about many things that are works of fiction. The Star Wars Universe, the Marvel Universe, The DC Universe, etc. The fact that WWE is using a common phrase to describe its fictional word just makes that line between fiction and reality less blurred. |

I can kind of see what you're saying. I take the WWE Universe to mean something else. Like an umbrella term to cover how WWE is involved in so many things, like films or internet stuff. |

There's a gaping hole in that argument: The actual universe, the origin of the word, is anything but fictional. EDIT: I take it to mean a large amount of space. Empty space. Boring. Boring. Boring. |
