STAY HYPED!!!

I do like to read. I don't read non-stop, but do like to read when I have a bit of free time (or when I go poop). I just finished reading the entire Harry Potter series (7 books total) for the second time. The second time took me a bit longer to read since I was not in a "OMG! What happens next" mode while reading. The books were still very enjoyable though. Very enjoyable! After I finished, I put my books back in their box and put them away. I grabbed another book to read during my free time (and poop time). I grabbed Mick Foley's "Have a Nice Day!" book, if you're interested. I'm up to the part where Foley left WCW for the final time and was heading into ECW. It's still a good book. It isn't as good as I remember it being, but that's probably because my interest in Foley has diminished a bit since Foley was on top. It's a good book. I'm enjoying reading again and it's been so long since I've read it (several years) that I've forgotten most of it kind of feels like I'm reading the book for the first time all over again. But damn it if every time I pick up the book to read I don't think "I wish I was reading Harry Potter again instead".

Yes, he does a great job at telling his story through his own perspective. But many of his references and jokes are so dated that they aren't as funny as they once were. That and the aforementioned fact that I'm just not as high on Foley as I once was makes this book less entertaining than it was some 9 years ago. |
