Hello friends. I despise summer. It is hot and sweaty. The fashion sucks. It is hard to keep yourself cool. People smell. On the other hand, winter has great fashion, it is comfortable, the food is fantastic. There's nothing better than curling up in bed with a cup of hot chocolate with the electric blanket on while cuddling up to a loved one. While I may not have a loved one, this has never stopped me, and the rape trial is still proceeding. NEVER THE LESS, help me make the case by siding with me, or if you're feeling mighty rebellious, you can vote for the devilish option. Regards, Jim Cronshaw |

The Best a Man can Get

It may be hot and sweaty in Australia but Ireland hasn't been all that warm for the last couple of summers. Summers mean I have no more Uni and can travel the world to any destination of my pleasing, Winter means exams till the 20th of December. So I'm going to have to give a big boo urns to Winter... |

That's it? ![]() The temperatures drop 80 to 100 degrees from summer to winter here. Sometimes more (although I'm not sure when the last time it did). Anyway, I prefer winter for the most part. There are some unpleasant things about winter, such as driving in the snow (I suck at it and I hate it), but I much prefer it over summer. |

You do realise that Australia uses the metric system, don't you? Edited by Nubochanozep, Dec 9 2008, 02:36 AM.

And? 113F to 50F isn't a big dip for a summer to winter change. It changes like that going from summer to fall here.

I despise both for different reasons. In summer I'm all hot sweaty, thirsty and I find it hard to get a good nights sleep in this heat. Not to mention there's quite a bit of rain during the summer months. I like it when it rains, it makes the place somewhat cool in amongst the heat, but humid as hell afterwards and since there's quite a few creeks and occasional flooding around here, it's almost like living around a filthy swamp. As for winter...there's cold, runny noses and arthritis is a bitch. I can barely move with it during the winter. Which makes me kind of thankful that I don't live in the northernmost countries. |
