The series follows the brothers Dean and Sam Winchester, played by Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki, who travel across the country in a black 1967 Chevy Impala investigating and combating paranormal events and other unexplained occurrences, many of them based on folklore, myths, and American urban legends, as well as classic supernatural creatures such as vampires, werewolves, and ghosts.

The plot of the series has evolved over time, beginning initially with the Winchester brothers, Sam and Dean, looking for their father throughout most of Season One. Once they find him, the show becomes about killing Azazel, the yellow-eyed demon responsible for the death of their mother 23 years ago. This is accomplished, but not until after Azazel's plans are completed and a door to Hell is opened, although only momentarily, releasing a horde of demons into the world. This event also sees the death of Sam, who is subsequently resurrected by Dean selling his soul at the end of Season Two. In the third season, the plot of the show focuses on trying to save Dean from his deal. Along the way, they meet a demon named Ruby, who has an interest in Sam and claims to be able to help save Dean, as well as Bela Talbot, an "acquirer" and seller of occult objects who is constantly a thorn in their side. The brothers eventually manage to track down the demon who holds Dean's contract, a powerhouse named Lilith who also wants Sam dead. However, Sam and Ruby ultimately fail to save Dean, who is killed and sent to Hell. Season Four begins with Dean awakening dazed and confused in a grave, having been rescued by an angel named Castiel on orders from God. Sam on the other hand, has further developed his abilities with the help of Ruby during the months that Dean has been dead. It is soon revealed that Dean was revived to help stop Lilith's plan of breaking the 66 seals, which would let Lucifer walk free once again.

I know Levi and I used to discuss this show every week, but if there any other fans, let's hear from you too.

I really liked this weeks show. It had a great horror feel to it. Anytime you deal with F'ed up people instead of Supernatural things, it always makes it twice as creepy. I guess this week was all about Dean dealing with his time in Hell. Can't wait for next week.

I know absolutely nothing about the show which is a good thing since it'll be new to me if I'll get around to watching it. Didn't think it would last this long. I guess I'll wait until the series is over to actually watch it. Unless it's around for another 4 season

What?
I watched it on and off during the 1st and 2nd season cause it was on... either after or before Smallville. Then after I stopped watching Smallville, Supernatural followed in its footsteps. I actually have seen a few episodes since... something about a gun with a certain number of bullets and something bad happens to their dad. I dunno. I think I'll be with D.L. and wait till the series is over before I watch it again. But, it was pretty good from what I saw of it. :tu:

I don't debate. I'm always right.
The last episode was decent. It was different seeing Humans play the part of the villains as opposed to demons.

I didn't care for last nights magician episode. It was okay, but not up to the usual Supernatural standard. I guess the point was to get Sam back on the Psychic path. Can't wait to see where that leads.

I feel exactly the same.
I'm not even sure if the immortal guys origins were explained. I found myself paying half attention, and may have missed it.
Still...It wasn't all that great.

This weeks episode was a step up from last week. Got a nice look into the past of the Winchester boys. Good episode, but still not up the the usual standards of the series to me.

I pretty much thought the same thing. However. In my opinion...It's time to put the filler episodes on the back burner and get back to what the show is currently about. Satan, and the possible Apocalypse.

Okay, I just wanted to point out that on this weeks episode, a ghost killed a guy when it possessed his Real Doll.

The CW announced today that Supernatural has been renewed for a 12th season. The long-running drama continues to be a solid performer for the network after over a decade on the air and 200+ episodes. It boasts a dedicated fan base that has helped keep its ratings solid and steady year after year.

This is one of my favorite shows, but in all honesty, I'm not sure how long they can keep going and still have a fresh story line. I mean, they have hunted monsters, demons, angels, leviathans, Lucifer, and now God's sister...yes His sister. They have averted the Apocalypse, been to Hell, Heaven and Purgatory. The only thing left would be to confront God Himself. Got to be getting close to the end of this shows run...right?

It s seriously one of my all time favorites. The early seasons were really good. Started out basically monster of the week, while hunting the demon that killed their mom. Then it moved on to bigger and bigger bad guys. Out of the 12 seasons, I think only one kind of dragged. That is phenomenal in my book.

Love the show. And so we are back to hunting Lucifer. Near laughed my ass off when the crosses were turning as The Bishop(Lucifer) walked by.
And now it's the spawn of Satan. Love this show.
