BURN IT DOOOWWNNNNNNNN!
Never was a fan of Umaga, only time I was interested in him was during his feud with Cena. Still fucked up when someone dies young.

I always laughed my ass off when Regal called him Umenga...I don't know why. I sounds funny (don't know why it sounds funny) and I like saying it the way Regal did. UMENGA!

Am I the only one that thinks it's messed up that WWE didn't pay any kind of tribute to Umaga on Raw? Even a simple picture of him with his birth year and death year would have been better than completely ignoring it.

Actually I have a quick question: I haven't been keeping up online, but was this Raw live or taped? I thought around this time WWE is overseas for the Tribute to the Troops, so if this show was taped beforehand and stuff then that could be an explanation for a lack of video at least.

- According to an article today by The Greenwich Times, the death of Eki "Eddie" Fatu is beign used against Linda McMahon in her Senatorial bid for the State of Connecticut. Opponents of McMahon claims that there is no proof that McMahon did everything in her power to prevent deaths in wrestling. Former wrestler Marc Mero, author Irv Muchnick and WWE's attorney Jerry McDevitt all commented, here are the highlights…

* Irv Muchnick On Linda McMahon's Responsibility: "I think she bears responsibility in the sense in that coal mine owners were responsible for the hazards coal miners faced in getting black lung and other illnesses."

* Mark Mero On Linda Running For Senate: "I've wrestled against 28 people who are dead. You often question, if you don't care about your own, who are making millions and millions of dollars, what do you care about the people of Connecticut?"

* Jerry McDevitt On WWE Providing Free Passes Instead Of Suspensions To Wrestlers That Failed When The Wellness Policy Started: "When you are going to embark on a drug testing program, there's sort of a fair notice concept."

- Also, the Fatu family and Dwayne Johnson were contacted for comments, and did not respond.

You know the public doesn't follow wrestling when Marc Mero has credibility!

It's messed up that someone is using Umaga's death to further his own campaign. That is just cold and callous. It'd be different if the same person cared about wrestling deaths before this or even after this, but he didn't and he won't. He's just using it to try to further his own agenda. I hope people see through it, but they won't.

It's a fabulous new day, yes it is!
Wanna bet they'll use the recent news about Test (who died months ago) against Linda too?

WWE does have their wellness policy to back them up, plus the fact that they fired Umaga for not following it. Right? I forget why he was fired.

I guess I just forgot about it or something. Gosh - it's kinda sad when keeping track of dead wrestlers is a challenge.

I feel a little late here but still. all means well...

I was pretty damn shocked when I heard the news, I did enjoy watching Umaga, I admit his moves and ability's were very limited, but still he was a character I liked.

R.I.P Umaga.

I always felt he had the potential and more then enough speed for a man of his size.

Probably me with high expectations I guess.

I'm sorry for double posting.

I must admit, I'm from Manchester UK, which is like 60 mins away from Blackpool,(Regals Hometown) And I really need to stress, People from Blackpool don't sound anything like William Regal in fact I'm not sure his pronouncement sounds anything like any person from this side of the UK.

For example Paul Burchill does sound like he comes from the southern side of the UK I wouldn't say Chelsea though.

According to "Wrestling Babylon" author Irv Muchnick, who received an email from the Harris County medical examiner in Houston, Texas, the following was announced as the cause of death for Eddie "Umaga" Fatu, who passed away back on December 4th of 2009…

The cause of death is acute toxicity due to combined effects of hydrocodone (a painkiller), carisoprodol (muscle relaxer/soma), and diazepam (valium).

His last match was on the Hulkamania Tour against Anderson (Kennedy).
First Eddie now Umaga. No wonder Orton didn't want to work with him.
Don't forget Benoit ;)

He meant that both Guerrero's and Umaga's last matches in their career took place against Kennedy. I think Benoit's might have been against that Alpha Male guy on ECW or something so he wouldn't count...
