I agree with the results. Although I usually side with nostalgia, it's really a stretch to put somebody who made a one-time appearance in the same boat with a guy who has done a great job making SD interesting to watch. I think if Hart was around more, and wrestled (I think Outsider or someone said this) I would immediately vote for him, but it's hard to say just with really one legitimate appearance that he is the best of the month. |

People keep saying this but I'm yet to hear a convincing reason as to why it's true. You all yap on about Hart needing to make more appearances but the fact remains that Hart, moreso than anyone, has sparked interest this month. Noone has been more talked about, noone has drawn more viewers and noone has been as captivating as Hart. Oh but CM Punk wrestled more so he gets the award. Fuck off. |

Hart didn't interest me, i thought his return wasn't hyped enough and was only made (probably for a ridiculously large amount of money) to compete against hogan. He didn't interest me, so he didn't get my vote. |

Quoted directly from the RAW review thread. http://6starwrestling.net/topic/6669441/1/#new So basically, his segments are poor and uninteresting when it suits your argument, yeah? |

Whenever Mcmahon is on TV it is gold, he is the ultimate heel. I was excited for Harts return and i guess i posted that straight after i watched the episode of RAW. But as the weeks have gone past and the segments get longer and more predictable, i have lost interest. |

I'd suggest that your reaction following the episode is a bit more truthful than your response under pressure to defend your silly vote. |

I disagree, every week since that Jan 4th RAW i have been losing interest. Raw this week pretty much solidified the fact that i don't care anymore. Bret couldn't even push a box over without nearly killing himself and who couldn't see him attacking Vince coming? |

Well in that case we should give it to Hogan and Bischoff because TNA's ratings increased by 50% in the month that he's been around... It's not about the whole "wrestling," per se, but you can't say nobody has been more captivating when he was only on one show. You have Punk who started his own cult where he takes "fans" out of the audience and shaves their head to initiate them. It's a great storyline and a great thing to happen because it's a pretty fresh idea and it illicits a huge reaction from the crowd each time he does it (I should know; I was there the first time he promised to "save" people). Hart's return was extremely important, especially to me (I did support it hugely when a lot of people felt that Hogan's return was a much bigger thing), but it wasn't important enough this month to give him wrestler of the month when he didn't do anything since his return. His return was all about building towards a Vince/Hart match, which is something he is now doing in February, not January. If you want Hart to be WOTM for February I wouldn't disagree because now it's going into motion, but Punk clearly had a better month in his success and in his storyline. I think even Vince deserved to be more of a WOTM than Hart because he was the one driving the angle for the weeks Hart wasn't around... |

I don't watch TNA very often but maybe you have a point there, champ!
Why? Why can't I say this? Suppose that we assign values to each wrestler based on how much they acheive throughout the month. I'd assign Hart a value of OVER 9000 for his one show and I'd assign CM Punk 500 per show he did. I don't give two hoots how many shows they perform on, what I care about is the impact they've had in an entire month. And face the bloody fact that noone has had more of an impact on the WWE than Bret fucking Hart. Also, this is of some interest in comparing Hart to Punk to Hogan. It shows the google hits each person had and I think it goes a long way in proving my point about who sparked the most interest. http://www.google.com/trends?q=bret+hart%2C+CM+Punk%2C+Hulk+Hogan&ctab=0&geo=all&date=ytd&sort=0 But you guys can continue voting for WOTM based on who had better matches whereas I, Shows, and anyone else with any sense will move on into the 2010's. |

Um, no. TNA's ratings went from an average of 1.2 to a 1.3-1.4. Hardly a 50% increase!

Yes, the person actually wrestling prevails! (I <3 Bret, but WotM is not an award fit for him now-a-days) |
