Nah, man. I'm out of Harry Potter right now. Don't even have the books, as I've loaned them out. No magic for me right now. The Twilight Saga (which is what I loaned Harry Potter out to get) is a lot better than I gave it credit for. Well, the third book (Eclipse) is excellent. The first book (Twilight) was better than the movie, mostly because the actor that plays Edward absolutely sucks (the guy that also played Cedrid Diggory in GOF). The second book (New Moon) was ok, but had a big chunk of "damn boring" in the middle of it. But the third book is just excellent. Vampires and Werewolves uniting to combat another coven of Vampires that is coming to kill Bella. Great stuff! BTW, Bella is probably the most boring character I've ever read before. She has no character growth. It's always the same thing "Oooh, Edward's face is so beautiful". In the second book, Edward leaves her and all she can think is "Oh, his face was so beautiful". In the third book, Victoria has created an army of newborn Vampires and there's Bella: "Oh, Edward's face is so beautiful". So very one dimensional. ![]() The Cullens and the Werewolves, on the other hand, are just great! |

Who seems more bland to you in the books and in the first film, Edward or Bella? In the film, both seem equally bland. Based on the few stuff I knew from the books, Bella seems more bland than Edward. |

Bella is the blandest character in the books. Edward is a fun character to read about. I've laughed out loud numerous times from things he's said and done. He's also very protective and nurturing of Bella. Jacob is another great character to read about. Similar to Edward in that he's funny, protective, and nurturing of Bella. The Cullen family history is fun to read about, learning how Alice, Jasper, Rosalie, and Charlisle became Vampires. Charlie is fun to read about, even if he's just the typical protective dad that prefers Jacob over Edward. Even the school friends, as small as their roles actually are, are fun to read about. But whenever it gets to be just Bella, it gets boring. Like in the second book, for example. Edward and his family leave town, thinking it'd be best for Bella if they made a clean break. Bella falls into a depression. Literally, right in the forest she falls down. She goes on and on: "Am I in the forest? I don't see any light. I must be in the forest". You turn the page, thinking something else will happen, but, no, she's still in that damn forest "Is that a voice? Did they call my name? I must have heard a voice". Damn boring. The movie, I've only seen once. The guy that plays Edward just kills his character. It's just really bad. So I dislike him most, mostly just because of how he portrays a cool character so poorly. Bella is boring in the book, so it makes sense that she'd translate to be a boring character in the movie.
