Not even close. Raw was the same old, same old. TNA had an exciting "anybody can show up" feel to it. TNA easily kicked Raw's ass tonight.

Val Venis, Nasty Boys, Orlando Jordan, Shannon Moore... exciting? Seriously? Jeff Hardy, yes. Flair, yes. Waltman and Hall showing up were a given. Okay, maybe Hall actually showing up could be considered a surprise, given that the last time he was supposed to appear, he no-showed. TNA being different, maybe being live and better wrestling, yes. Val Venis was fun because he was in his element. He'll pair with TBP much better than Kip James ever did. As long as they use him in small roles like that, he'll be good. Orlando Jordan got shat on by the fans and for good reason. Nasty Boys were a given since they are with Hogan. I'm not excited by their feud with Team 3D, but they didn't bring down the show as a whole. Point being, while TNA wasn't perfect they delivered a more exciting and fun show to watch than stale Raw.

TNA was better overall than Raw, but I really wouldn't say the difference between both are that drastic as you mention it.
