Batista would probably tear his bicep in the first fight. His 'roids have probably screwed his tendon strength for life. |

I prefer Brock Lesnar's response:

Here's the only problem with Lesnar. Alot of the people around the country feel that Lesnar got pushed entirely way to early. Even the ones in UFC. Now don't get me wrong but Lesnar was a monster of wrestler and has improved in his fights but guys like Rampage I think would destroy him. That's one thing I don't care for is that they have weight classes for alot of the fighters.....though I guess boxing does to but I've seen people who are alot smaller beat up guys alot bigger. |

I've always been against weight classes, unless maybe it's extreme weight differences (like 100lbs or more). The best fighter should be able to take on any fighter, not just ones who are in a twenty pound range of them. And I bet it would make it a lot more entertaining if everyone fought everyone, not to mention a lot more challenging to keep the belt which in turn would make it more meaningful to both make it to the top and stay there for any amount of time. Agreed. Just look at how many people Bruce Lee has inspired to become a fighter. No matter how big, small, tiny, big, whatever they were. Lee would take them down with ease. Hell just about anyone can say that he was and is the greatest fighter ever. Even though we only got to see a glimpse of what he can do in movies and interviews, the people will tell you that knew him there was no one or probably will be ever like him. |

If Bruce had been born forty years later or so, I have no doubt he'd be in MMA. One of his biggest complaints about martial arts was that what everyone taught was mostly non-applicable to real fights (I wholeheartedly agree with him on that). His famous philosphy - though he didn't create the line it is usually mostly associated with him - about being "like water" doesn't apply to standard martial arts, but it definitely applies to MMA. I think he have been an awesome fit and a very dominating fighter, but he'd probably be stuck as a Featherweight fighter and would have never gotten the fanfare he'd deserve since people mostly flock to the Heavyweights and Light Heavyweights. Weight classes are pretty ridiculous though because they're often only separated by like ten pounds. I'm no fighter and definitely no fight expert, but ten pounds doesn't make a huge difference. Fifty or more? Okay. But ten? Twenty? I've got a friend who is like thirty pounds heavier than me and we're probably about equal when it comes to fighting skills. I'm actually probably stronger. But if we were fighters? We'd never see each other in the ring despite it most likely being a fairly even fight. |

Yeah I've got a buddy who is in the a minor league in my area, stating that it's more about training then the actual fight. He's showed me some stuff which I know will help me in the long run if I need it but I also have other sources where if I were to be serious about it, the cost would be a bit but it's more about defending yourself than actual MMA training. But if I wanted could use it as an advantage. There are alot of people willing to train for the right price which from what it seems like it comes to. |

Me and the above mentioned friend almost got into training with some local amateur MMA guys in town, but it as it was gaining steam, the friendship kind of faltered and the interest fizzled. I'm still somewhat interested though, but mostly for the physical aspect. I don't care much for the idea of fighting, I'd just want the fitness challenge.
