The Man. Any Questions?
I've been watching old WWF PPV events (I recently got a whole bunch of DVDs), and came across a match that really shocked me.

While watching the 1991 Royal Rumble last night, I decided to actually watch the undercard matches (I usually just watch the rumble match on these events). The first match was actually pretty great (Rockers vs. Orient Express), but I kind of expected that with 4 athletic guys in the ring.

What got me was Big Bossman vs. The Barbarian. Bossman and Barbarian! A fat dude in a cop outfit against a typical musclehead.

You'd think, "who cares? Piss break." right? Wrong.

This was a damn good match! I couldn't believe it. Two guys that I pretty much never think about when I consider "good in-ring talent" put out a serious throwdown that night.

I found the match on youtube, so for anyone that doesn't believe me, here it is:

Spoiler: click to toggle

Big Bossman and Barbarian. I'll be damned.

Listen to the reaction Bossman got. That was a pretty good match. Especially for that era and for a big man match.

It's also nice actually seeing the audience and not a sea of signs.

And lol at Slaughter at the end of part 2. He's like the stereotypical promo cutter. That's what people unfamiliar with wrestling think of when they think of wrestling promos.
