WWE Studios' "That's What I Am" starring Ed Harris and Amy Madigan received a very good review in today's issue of Variety.

A family drama set in the 1960, the film centers around a bright 12-year-old boy whose English teacher (Harris) pairs him up on a project with the school's biggest outcast and social pariah, Stanley (aka "Big Red", the original title of the project). When Andy watches Stanley fearlessly confront a school bully, a series of events is unleashed that changes the lives of the boys and their teacher.

The Variety review, noting that the film would be released in April, described the film as, "Agreeable, uplifting and earnest almost to a fault."

Randy Orton, who is billed fifth in the cast, has a supporting role as the father of the school bully and is described as "pitch-perfect" in his role.

The Variety review, while noting that the film isn't perfect, concludes that "writer-director Michael Pavone's feature benefits from sensitive, restrained thesping, most notably by Ed Harris, and leaves one feeling blandly inspired. Planning an April release, Samuel Goldwyn Films could maximize pic's cross-generational appeal with a thoughtful marketing campaign, perhaps buttressed by screenings at schools and civic institutions."

This is far and away the best review any WWE Studios film has received from a major entertainment trade publication.

- WWE Studios have launched a website for That's What I Am, the upcoming movie that has an appearance by Randy Orton in it, at thatswhatiammovie.com. Orton can be seen in the new trailer with a three-second appearance, playing the role of a concerned parent who confronts Ed Harris' character.

No surprise. Orton is a supporting character only, so it isn't like other WWE films were all the screen time belongs with a WWE Superstar.

:tu:

Trailer of the film here. I swear that if Orton didn't showed up, I would have believed this was an indie film.
