A USA Executive tweeted that the WWE Draft would take place on next week's Raw. TV by the Numbers also has the following press release from USA Network:

THE 2011 WWE(R) DRAFT TAKES OVER "MONDAY NIGHT RAW," MONDAY, APRIL 25 AT 9/8c

The entire roster of WWE Superstars and Divas will take part in the 2011 WWE Draft next week, April 25, on MONDAY NIGHT RAW live on USA Network at 9/8c.

In a thrilling night of television, all WWE Superstars and Divas, including WWE Champion The Miz, John Cena, Randy Orton, Rey Mysterio, Big Show, Alberto Del Rio and SinCara along with WWE Divas Champion Brie Bella, Eve and Kelly Kelly could be drafted to either RAW or SmackDown.

After Monday Night's momentous draft, John Cena could be on "Friday Night SmackDown," which airs each week on Syfy at 8/7c and Rey Mysterio could be coming to MONDAY NIGHT RAW.

The Annual WWE Draft is a chance to renew old rivalries or have WWE Superstars face off against each other for the very first time, bringing a new and fresh feel to each show.

With Edge retiring, Undertaker wrestling a very limited schedule, and Del Rio just not getting as over as WWE wanted him to, you have to think at least one big name is going to SD! My money is on Orton.

You think this is a response to Edge leaving? It seems really abrupt and without warning for something they usually hype up for a month in advance. That, and the fact that they always save it for a 3 hour show makes it seem that way.

I don't know. They have 2 consecutive 3 hour Raw episodes planned for June. I'm not sure why they are doing it now when they could just hold off another month. WWE usually moves guys around the brands frequently, so if it were just because of Edge then I'm sure they'd just move someone there for whatever reason.

Take what you will from this, with the current product superstars are going on RAW and Smackdown regularly. Doesn't matter what roster they're actually "on" although it does seem a bit weird that this is advertised the Smackdown after the draft. Who knows, maybe he will scurry on over to Smackdown. Can't say I'd be sad, considering I never watch the Blue Brand.

They sometimes advertise guys for dark matches, so he may not even appear on the SD! broadcast. Dunno, we'll have to see. But I will be very shocked if they move Cena off the flagship show.

I sincerely doubt they'd move Cena to Smackdown. With them already selling his match against the Rock next year, I'd expect for them to keep Cena on the main brand.

CM Punk is definitely getting drafted the Smackdown though. SD is in desperate need of an over heel, so I think Punk would be the obvious choice.

Morrison or R Truth is definitely SD bound as well.

Guess Edge retiring is the reason for this.

Punk and Mason will move to SD! to fight with Barrett and Jackson while the tag team champs and whoever the other guys will swap. Just sayin.

I expect the IC and US Titles to switch brands again. They usually switch a belt around every few years. I don't see the WWE Title leaving Raw ever again. The Tag Team and Diva Titles are unified and suppose to be available to both brands. That leaves the US and IC Title. So Barrett back to Raw and Sheamus to SD!

You knew it was only a matter of time before the rumors started. Here is the more notable rumor I've read:

Quote:

WWE officials have discussed moving Alberto Del Rio to Raw during next Monday's WWE Draft as he is currently penciled to headline SummerSlam against John Cena. It has also been broached for Del Rio move to the brand as World Heavyweight Champion, with The Miz, as WWE Champion, heading to SmackDown.

With that being said, the identities of who gets moved are constantly changing.

I find this very unlikely since I don't see the moving the WWE Title off Raw. What with them trying to be seen as WWE exclusively, I think the WWE Title is going to remain the main title of the company.

It's a fabulous new day, yes it is!
Impossible to think about it. I don't see Del Rio moving yet, but if he does, he loses at Extreme Rules.

Del Rio is already on Raw more than half the Raw roster, so it wouldn't really be much of a move for him anyway. I don't understand how WWE can be so behind this guy when the crowd just isn't responding to him like WWE wants them to.

Yeah I can't see it happening either. The Miz has been the one doing late night talk shows and special guest appearances with the WWE title, can't remember the WHC ever doing that.
