I read that The Conduit was a surprisingly good FPS game, planning on getting that in the sequel. |

I went ahead and bought the Zelda: Twilight Princess game. I had originally planned to wait until I played Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask again, but I still haven't gotten everything needed to get online to download the games. So I bought Twilight Princess and started playing it. I'm just at the very beginning of this game, not even at the first temple yet, and I'm already addicted to this game. The graphics are just awesome. As much as I loved the N64 games, they have nothing on these graphics. Simply superb. And, so far, the storyline for the game is as great as the aforementioned titles. Granted, I haven't gotten into the game yet, but everything is progressing nicely. I'm still in the tutorial stage, where the game is teaching me how to play. For anyone that has already played this game, I am just to the point where Link transforms into the Wolf-Link. My only complaint is the Wii controls. I knew this would be what I disliked about it, and I do. I'd rather just press buttons instead of having to move my remote. I'm still pressing buttons out of habit so I'm getting more damage inflicted on me than I should since I forget to flick the controller. But the actual controlling of the sword is easy once I remember to flick my wrist. I'm not sure about the slingshot or any other weapons. I haven't used them too very much, but I haven't gotten the hang of it just yet. More practice, I guess. So far, excellent game that I am enjoying very much. I'm already glad I bought the Wii just for this game, and I haven't even gotten into it good yet.

I've just beaten the mini-boos and gotten my boomerang, so I'm guessing I'm only about 1/2 through the first temple. But the time log on my save screen says I've been playing for like 5 hours, maybe 5 1/2. With all the cut screens and the exploration, this game is going to take me forever to finish -- which is a good thing, since it's my favorite hobby right now. ![]() Hey, DL, how many hours did it end up taking you to complete the game? I mean according to the log status on your save screen and not how many days/weeks. Although, I'd be interested in knowing how many days/weeks you played it before beating it as well. ![]() |

40 hours seems kick. I'm already at 7 hours and I've only just beat the Forrest Temple. ![]() I thought the Forrest Temple boss was rather easy. I'm sure they'll get harder in each temple, but the first boss was just too easy. |

There's a Sonic The Hedgehog game in the Wii Ware section. I haven't downloaded it yet, but heard that it was pretty good. |

In Twilight Princess, I am up to the part where you just enter the Goron Temple. Right before this, you have to joust with that green goblin thing on a Warthog. Man, that was the most frustrating thing I've done in the game so far. Bastard kept knocking me off. Finally beat him though. ![]() Just checked and my ethernet cables are suppose to be at the Post Office. I think I'm going to head that way and see if I can't get to downloading "Ocarina of Time" and "Majora's Mask". Be my luck, I bought the wrong thing or something else will happen to delay my downloading.

My paranoia for nothing. Hooked up my cable and LAN adapter and downloaded the game without a hitch. I did enter my Wii points in wrong the first time, but re-entered the code and everything was fine. I downloaded both "Ocarina of Time" and "Majora's Mask". So I now have the 3 best Zelda games ever created. I am a very happy person. Now, I need to buy a SD card to save my downloaded games. I have these two on my Wii right now, but don't think I'll have the space to save all the games I'm interested in downloading.

I downloaded Ocarina yesterday and the first time I played it I beat the Deku Tree mini-temple and Dodongo's Cavern mini-temple. Take in all the cut scenes and collecting golden Skullas and heart pieces and that's about 3 or 4 hours worth of gameplay...just from my first sit down. Today, I have only beaten Jabu-Jabu's mini-temple and have grown up. I collected my hookshot, went ahead and got the red tunic -- just because I don't like the green clothes and I don't think I can get the blue one yet. Blue is my favorite one of the three. I have just entered the Forrest Temple when I saved and quit. So, yeah, I think I'll be taking a break from Twilight Princess for a while. It's a great game, but nostalgia calls.

This system is a little iffy for me. I LOVE Super Mario Galaxy and think Wii Sports/Resort is great, but I got two games off of Gamefly: MLB Power Pros, and the Wipeout game. They are easily the two worst games I have ever gotten on a 7th gen system. This is between the graphics and controls. They aren't appealing to play at all. I had other games higher on the list, but Gamefly jumped over them so it's totally not Wii's fault since these weren't my first choices, but it's definitely not giving me a great taste right now. |

I have a similar opinion of the system. I love the Zelda games. I love the 2 from N64 and I love Twilight Princess. But the other Wii games I've played haven't been entertaining to me. The Sonic game is a pretty bad game, I think. And the Mario and Sonic Winter Olympics isn't really that much fun either. I haven't played the other sports games that came with the system.

^ The original Mario & Sonic At The Olympics was a lot better than the winter games version, there was a larger variety of events compared to the winter games one as I felt a lot of the skiing and snowboarding events were all pretty similar to each other. That being said both these games are only really ever that fun if you have a group of friends round to play them with, only time I played them on my own was to unlock some of the events before my friends came round. And that really is the problem with a lot of the Wii's games, they're "party" games or multiplayer games which are a lot of fun when played with a group of people but on your own the games just arn't as fun. |

Yeah, I believe the general opinion is that the original Olympic Games is better than the Winter Olympic Games. Or at least all the game sites I've looked at says that, and you do to. If I had a choice, I would have gotten the original. But it wasn't in the list of games I could choose from in the bundle package. Most of the game options were terrible. |
