Roulette Wheel

This is currently up on WWE.com. It's official. Tonight's show is going to suck ass. Hopefully, HBK can make it watchable.

If the wheel wasn't so blatantly rigged, it could be decent. But probably not.

I don't care that it is rigged. We all know this stuff isn't random. I wouldn't even mind if they made it blatantly obvious that they knew we knew it was rigged. You know, so that it looked like a joke that everyone was in on. My problem is, and always has been, the very lame gimmick matches that they use. If they used better gimmick matches, then this would be great. But you know that the Divas are going to have some kind of pillow fight, water fight, or something else :quote: cute :quote and will never, ever land on a table match or any other serious kind of gimmick match.

Looking at the wheel I can already tell you some of the matches we are going to get:

Song & Dance
Pillow Fight
Blast From The Past
Special Guest Ref

Then some combination of:
Table
Lumberjack
Falls Count Anywhere

They fired that fat guy that used to come out with baby oil and a thong, right? So at least we don't have to worry about him coming out during the song and dance. Unless they bring him back for one night. :-/

He'd be fired on the spot if he were to do that.

I was hoping for the TNA shout out though. He even took a pause and smiled to the camera after mentioning ROH and NJPW as if he was just waiting to say it.

Yep, sort of anyway. It was definitely a work, but from the looks of it, Punk really won't be resigning, at least not anytime soon. He'll be off tv up until MiTB and then probably get the "Brock Lesnar treatment" at the PPV.

WWE.com

Monday Night Raw’s abrupt conclusion last night was not due to technical difficulties. The decision to suddenly end the broadcast in that manner was made by WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon, who gave this quote to WWE.com:

“CM Punk was suspended indefinitely for his unprofessional conduct as soon as Raw went off the air.”

With his WWE contract expiring on July 17, one can only assume that this suspension effectively terminates CM Punk’s tenure with WWE.

Now it's on the website.

Looks like WWE made us eat our words on the bad match stipulations. I don't think there was any cheesie gimmicks this week. Sure, the wheel was rigged, but the gimmicks picked were pretty OK. No pillow fights, no signing and dancing, no switching places.

The story of the night is obviously about CM Punk breaking the internet. He was good throughout the night, but his ending promo was just pure gold. Even the casual fans that probably didn't get even half of what Punk was saying had to know that was a special moment.

Holy shit, best ending to RAW in a long time. I can't even remember the last time WWE kept me on the edge of my seat as to what will happen. Punk with this "wrestler" quote, about other companies and inside sources, douchebags and doofus sons.
What an episode!

Steve Austin just tweeted two different statements about CM Punk's groundbreaking promo on Monday Night Raw ...

On his Twitter, Austin wrote, "@CMPunk just melted my 52 inch TV with a scorching hot promo...delivery, content, and attitude...one of the best promos I've ever seen."

Austin also noticed Punk wore a "Stone Cold" t-shirt on Raw tonight. Ladies and germs-I have no idea why @CMPunk wore my shirt tonite...but it looked damn good on him...thanks @AverageJoeArt for the design.

Smashing Pumpkins' legendary lead singer Billy Corgan (pictured at right), a known pro wrestling fan, commented on CM Punk's promo live on Monday Night Raw, stating on his Twitter page the following:

@CMPunk that may have been the GREATEST promo i have ever seen...to paraphrase Paul E , 'you sir, are f'n hardcore'...

Corgan is of course referring to Paul Heyman, whom Punk credited tonight with launching his WWE career. Heyman's name is taboo on WWE broadcasts, which made the promo all the more shocking. You can follow Billy Corgan on Twitter at https://twitter.com/Billy

WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross tweeted about CM Punk's shoot promo on Monday Night Raw earlier this evening, stating the following:

"Most compelling, controversial end of Raw in a long time. @cmpunk edgy, attitudinal & full of rage. Don't know what to think. Wow."

Ring of Honor star Colt Cabana has posted the following on Twitter in response to CM Punk's promo on Raw tonight:

"Love ya, C.M. Punk," Cabana wrote. "Just watching you make history!!! This is soooo f---ing amazing."

"Colt Cabana's trending (on Twitter) but C.M. Punk should legit trend FOREVER," Cabana wrote. "Coolest thing on wrestling since 1998. Can't believe they're gonna let'm walk." You can check out more from Cabana at Twitter.com/ColtCabana.

While some people backstage knew it was coming, CM Punk's shoot promo on Monday Night Raw certainly had everyone buzzing. When Punk started talking about being "a Paul Heyman guy," and referenced controversial, past WWE names like Brock Lesnar, many wrestlers watching on the monitor were said to be "simply and solidly stunned" according to one WWE Superstar we spoke with, and several others were trying to find out Talent Exec John Laurinaitis' reaction as well.

While no one believes Punk went into business for himself, the majority of the Raw locker room was said to be "in shock" (according to one source in production) over how strong the shoot promo was, and the delivery.

Punk is fucking incredible. A shoot is a shoot; anybody can shoot. But Punk's delivery brought it to a level I don't think anybody realized a wrestler can still get to. He did such an incredible job, and It easily proves that he's the best on the mic today.

It started so innocently too, then he made the "kisses Vince McMahon's ass as good as Hulk Hogan was," and I was like "oh God, some crazy shit is about to go down"
