The Man. Any Questions?
|
Oh, so that's not bad. You could just spring the extra 8 bucks and get CT, too. Unless you're REALLY broke, living on foodstamps and whatnot. Then, $8 makes a difference. Though to be honest, I do none of this. I downloaded a PS1 emulator, and get the PS1 versions of games for free through piracy. Yes, I'm evil. But I also don't spend money. I can see the hesitancy to get into RPG gaming. I myself grew up on pre-RPGs. From Pac-Man up through the NES, into SNES, ignoring things like Final Fantasy I-IV. The first RPG I ever played was Lunar on Sega CD in 1996. I, too, was skeptical at first, due to the turns-and-menus thing. But, after giving it a chance, I loved it, and RPGs are probably now my favorite typres of games. Of course, it helps when your first one doesn't suck. And believe me, CT is top-notch. |

Actually, I bought 2000 points since that's the least you can buy. You can buy more, but I see no point. I got Super Mario World for 800 point. So I still have 1200 points on my account to spend. I am currently debating on using my points to get Mario 64 (1000 points), Super Mario 3 (500 points), or Super Punch Out (500 points). Obviously, I could get the 2 SNES games since I have enough points. I loved Mario 64 at the time, but I really enjoyed the Mario 64 released on the DS more. I liked playing different characters in the game. I wish that was on the Virtual Console. |

STAY HYPED!!!

Oh, and the point I was trying to make about Ocarina of time turning Zelda into a true franchise. I was trying to point out that while the game was popular since the beginning, it was Ocarina of Time that really took the game from being a cult classic that appealed only to a certain type of gamer to being a household name that appealed to most game players. It opened the title up to a lot more potential buyers. Also, just evolving into a 3D game doesn't mean instant success. The game has to still be good. It has to have a good storyline, good graphics, good game controls, etc. I found a Youtube "Lets Play" of this game where someone narrates as they play the game. I enjoy these types of videos, not sure if others do. What do you think of her playing/narrating, SRP? I'll only post the first part, but it's easy to find all the videos if you are interested: Edited by Cybrus, Jul 11 2011, 08:57 AM.

I typically don't watch those kinds of videos, but this one was decent enough. Strange to have a chick playing a game, though. She did an adequate job here. She doesn't play the way I do (I don't go to the Millennial Fair until I buff up and go to Porre for equips, etc.), but she gets you through. |

Well, thank you for taking my recommendation. I wouldn't try to steer you guys wrong. I'm not Dr. Evil or something, thinking of ways to get people to punish themselves.

The Man. Any Questions?

No, they do not. They also don't learn their Dual Techs and Triple Techs unless they fight 1 batttle with the correct partner(s). The game's long enough for this not to be an issue, though. Each event has a different "best party" for the most part. |

In prehistoric? They help. If you had been insane enough to grind for the loot needed for the flash mail in Medina 1000AD, then no. But I doubt you got those. |

I reached the end, where the only thing left is fighting Lavos and side quests. Where's the best place to level grind? |

The Man. Any Questions?

It takes care of itself, if you do the sidequests in the right order. Doesn't matter about the first few, but save Fiona's Villa (desert/forest) for second-last, and finish with the Black Omen. The Omen is where you'll gain some levels, because all the enemies are powerful. You'll need the ultimate equipments from the other sidequests first to make it more manageable. The Omen is the "natural" way to wind up at Lavos; the bucket and going to 1999 in the Epoch are shortcuts. |

You beat it yet? I had a new game + ready to go, and my emulator refused to acknowledge the memory card for some stupid reason, wiping the data. Now I have to start all over with a level 1 game, if I ever want to start a new game +. Dammit. |

Did you beat it the right way, using the chrono cross element? If you just bashed him, you fucked up. Hmm. Maybe I should change my username to Belthasar...? |
