Rock respondes to Cena on Youtube; says he'll see Cena before WrestleMania

STAY HYPED!!!

It gets real good around 2:00. Rock's logic about Cena only going to every single show because he's contractually obligated, because he'll get fired if he doesn't, and that Cena is doing it all for the paycheck is something Rock should say on TV. Rock talking about Cena being booed by men in every audience and getting the "Lets go Cena/Cena sucks" chants is something that should be on TV. Rock talking about why Cena is phoney should be said on TV as well.

Rock coming for Cena before WrestleMania seems to be hinting to Survivor Series since Rock debuted at Survivor Series.

Anyway, Cena's response:

ProWrestling.net

WWE Champion John Cena responded to the video promo that The Rock uploaded online. "Just saw Dwayne's statement," Cena wrote. "Via satellite of course. Sad, really. It was like an episode of Mad Money.

"I wonder if GLAAD will be offended by Dwayne's comments. Either way, looks like I have really made him mad. But certainly not mad enough to show up and do anything. Maybe he can send a stuntman.

"Dwayne, I am a WWE employee, and a proud one. The difference between us is you left for greener pastures. For me, this is what I love. I never begged for anyone's admiration or acceptance, you don't believe me...watch (Money in the Bank). It's not about that. It's about showing up.

"I'd rather wrestle a thousand 'punks' than one 'rock.' Because I can see his passion. Wish I could see yours...yer just never there. Until April 1st. Keep on bringing it, my man. You're doing great. Your friend, John Cena." Follow Cena on Twitter at Twitter.com/JohnCena.

He's hinting at the arena, not event. That's MSG. Is Survivor Series from there this year?

"Maybe he can send a stuntman" was a good one from Cena, though.

I agree that most of that stuff should be said on tv, but I'm sure WWE doesn't really want their top face to be run down quite like that, with the very real issue of his not being liked by half the audience. YET AGAIN, they won't turn him heel, so don't start. :P

EDIT - ah, just looked it up. Survivor Series is indeed from Madison Square Garden this year. So there we have it.

An an unrelated note, they better improve the product before going there, because that crowd usually doesn't take kindly to crap.

I honestly don't care about all this online bickering. Most of what they say is just what they always say in one way or another. No matter what Rock says, Cena just says, "You left". Nothing is going to happen that matters until Survivor Series and then probably Royal Rumble.

Damn, Purps, you're in a tough spot. You hate BOTH these guys.

So, who are you rooting for?

He's not in it. It's Cena vs. Rock.

I wouldn't put it past WWE to make it a triple threat and put Punk in there, though. I must say, that would piss me off royally.

They are not going to do that. As much as I hate both Rock and Cena, they are two of the biggest names in WWE. They are going to build this up for a year and try to outshine Rock vs Hogan. The WWE needs to do something because, quite frankly, Wrestlemania has been a one or two match show for some time now.

Oh WWE... giving The rock a victory over Cena at Survivor series won't make it okay when he jobs (cleanly, Dwayne knows the business after all) to Cena at 'Mania...

I don't think they'll have a match before WrestleMania. Their first match, and Rock's first match in 8 years, is going to happen at WrestleMania. If Rock shows up at Survivor Series, it'll just be some kind of brawl or something. It'll be something that baits people into buying the PPV but not giving away so much that they won't buy WrestleMania 5 or 6 months later.
