I was watching a few videos on Youtube of people of other nationalities trying American candies for the first time and giving their reactions. I enjoyed the clips and found I agreed with many of their comments. Plus, their accents amused me. One of the video people actually gave a link to where he bought his selection of candies: VIEW IT HERE. We have several international friends on here. I wonder, if I were to recommend some different kinds of candy (or other products on the site), would anyone be willing to buy it and give their opinions here? |

If this is the kind of store that requires a credit card number online, I'll pass. If there's an Australian based store where I could pay by other means, I may be game though. We already have Skittles, M&Ms, Snickers and Twix bars here. Whether or not they taste the same, I don't know, but I can't see why not. |

We have Mountain Dew and I think I remember having something Wonka when I was a kid. I think Americans should donate their tasty candies among other foods to a place like Somalia though, where they may not have things like this.

Rather be safe than sorry. Plus I'm not sure if I have any of the major credit cards that a lot of these online stores demand anyway, but I haven't really looked far enough into it. |

Visa Master Card American Express You could probably use PayPal or some such service also on most sites now. Besides, we both know you don't have enough money for anyone to try and steal. |

I've also had mountain dew before, it's not widely sold but there are certain shops where you can buy it. Generally the cheap shops like "Pound Land" & The "99p Store" and other things on there are also sold over here. Still I would be interested in trying some of the other stuff from there like the worlds largest gummy bear and the 2 foot long gummy worm

This guy is from Australia and mentions a shop that he went in and bought it. I don't know what part of Australia you live, what part of Australia he lives in, or if you guys are close. But if by chance you are close to where he mentions, perhaps you can go there and buy the candies, Fryhole. From what he says in the video, the candies are kind of expensive though. |

Turns out there's a shop that's fairly local to me that sells American chocolate and sweets called Sweets From Heaven. I stumbled across it completely by accident when I was looking at The Victoria Centre's website to find the number for a CD shop in there. It's called Sweets From Heaven and apparently it sells pretty much the same range that the website you posted had up. I'll probably pop in next time I'm in Nottingham and buy a couple of things. Any recommendations of what to try? |

Maybe not in those vlogs, but he's given hints to where he's lived in other videos. In one vlog, he refused to show outside his window because he said a fairly famous landmark is right there and anyone close would know exactly where he lives. ![]() I'm thinking at the very least, if you are interested and have a Youtube account, you could just send him a private message and ask him what shop he got it from and see if it's close to you.
Yes, but first what types of candies do you like? Do you like chocolates? Do you like sweet & sour candies? Do you like hard candies? Chewy candies? |

It'd have to be either Sydney or Melbourne. Most likely Sydney. There's no noteworthy landmarks where I live. Except for maybe a spayed bull statue.

Meh, most of the American candy are very common to me for the most part. ![]() No Mountain Dew for sale around here, though. But I don't care much for Dew. Speaking of American junk food... I miss eating Pepperidge Farm's Goldfish crackers. Maybe I'll try and find some around here if I can.

And what do you think of Hershey's chocolate, EmWhy? Unless I'm mistaken, American chocolate isn't really liked elsewhere since we like our chocolate..hmm, how do I put this, I guess you'd say we like it less chocolatey in flavor and sweeter? Isn't chocolate more bitter and stronger than what Americans eat? |

I'd be interested in trying some American chocolate just to see how it differs from the likes of Cadburys which I normally buy. As for sweets I pretty much like anything except for the hard ones.
I love Starburst especially the strawberry flavoured ones and whatever flavour the green ones are. They're fairly easy to find. |

It's hard to sit and think about the different candies I like. I'm sure I'll be at the store one day and think in my head "Oh, damn! I should have suggested this!" when I have a huge selection in front of me. But off the top of my head, candies that I like are: Skittles: Tropical Fruit Lemon Heads Hershey's Cookie and Creme Bar M&M: Peanuts Mentos: Fruit Flavored York Peppermint Patties Rasinettes Red Hots Chewy Runts Bottle Caps Blow Pops Twix Warheads Baby Ruth Reese's Cups Airheads If you happen to see any of these, I'd recommend them. All are quit good. ![]() |

How many varieties of Skittles do you normally see? We have maybe 5 different varieties (could be even more, I don't really keep a close count). We have the plain Skittles, sour skittles, berry skittles, tropical skittles (my favorite), Skittles that are one flavor on the outside and a different flavor on the inside (crazy cores, I think they are called), and a new kind that fizzes in your mouth that I absolutely hate. |

We have these ones here. We have Skittles, but I'm not sure about Tropical. We also have Peppermint Patties and something like Rasinettes, but I think they're under a different brand or different name. On a similar note, can you guys get these over there? Picnics Milky Way Mars Bars Chokitos Bounty Cherry Ripes Chico Babies Tim Tams Smarties (basically a poor man's M&M )Jaffas Aero Bars Creme Eggs (Nice, but a little sickening) Freddo Frogs Flake Milky Bar Toblerone Twirl Minties Eh, that's all I can think of at the moment. These three I know we have. I don't think Smarties are anything like M&Ms though. They are basically just little discs of powdered sugar, yea?
I tried to google search this to see if it looked like anything we have. All I found was pictures of people having picnics. I don't know if we have this or what it is, really.
Never had it myself, but I am not a fan of chocolate candy bars so I cannot say for certain that we don't have it.
This looks like a Mound bar to me. A Mound bar is basically a coconut center with chocolate outside. Almond Joys are the same thing only with Almonds added.
Never heard of it, but again I'm not into chocolate candy bars so I may have skipped over it.
I think this might be the same thing as our "Sugar Babies" but cannot be certain. Google Image search brought up different things.
Not to be redundant, I've never seen it myself but I only care for a select few chocolate candy bars. |

Our Smarties has chocolate in them. A Picnic looks like a bad turd, but I enjoy them. They're a wafer covered in caramel toffy with peanuts and coated in choclate.I'm also trying to think of something else we have, but I can't for the life of me think what they're called. They're basically little chewy balls of mint and chocolate. Some are choc coated with a mint center and vice versa. I suppose I tend to favour chocolate bars over candies. |
