Troubled U.K. pop star Amy Winehouse was found dead Saturday in her London home, according to multiple British wire reports. Britain's Sky News reported that paramedics were called to her home at just after 4 p.m., but the 27 year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.

Winehouse publicists in the U.S. and Great Britain have not yet responded to requests for comment. No reason has yet been cited as a cause of death.

Wow. I can't believe she lived as long as she did. That's not a joke. This woman was so screwed up on drugs I thought she would have ODed a lot sooner. No cause was given, but I'm sure we all think it was drug related.

It's sad to hear this, but I'm also sad that I wasn't shocked. :-/

R.I.P. anyway Amy.

Honestly its sad but at the same time this is the result of doing drugs and not getting help from it. Creating a song about how she didn't want to go get help in rehab was a hit? I don't understand the logic but its a shame 27 is a young age. I'm not assuming but her death could highly be drug-related...

Well I read in The Sun last week that she'd blacked out several times from drinking too much vodka. If you're drinking so much that you're regularly blacking out then you've got problems.

I feel as though I am familiar with her name, but I looked her up and don't recognize her at all. :-/

She basically had one song that was a big hit.

She was fairly successful and well known where I live, her latest album which was years ago thinking about it went like 5x Platinum. Not sure how big she was in other countries though.

It's a fabulous new day, yes it is!
She became a big deal here thanks to Rehab and because of her drug abuse.

"Rehab" seems to be one of her biggest songs. I was never a big fan so I never really followed her career. Aside from that one I can only recall one other song called "Valerie" I think. I'm fairly sure it was someone else's song though and she just provided the vocals

You're not alone. I was only aware of her existence due to people bashing her on the living dead board I frequent. Basically, any musical "talent" that got big before 1970 or after 1990, I know nothing of.

Amy Winehouse was a true British talent, with a natural gift for Jazz and Soul. She will be missed by everyone who has a passion for music with raw emotion at it's heart. We dedicated 'High Times' to Amy at last night's gig in tribute to her. We'll miss you, Amy x
