STAY HYPED!!!

Haven't done this in forever. Let's do a "lets watch" for SmackDown!: Triple H out to start the show. He immediately addresses the WWE Title situation and confirms that CM Punk was resigned Monday night and that he now has 2 WWE Champions. Christian interrupting. Triple H says Vince has the patience of a Saint and point's to his eye. Guess that was some kind of inside joke about sneezing, the eye thing, probably about how Vince really doesn't have much patience according to the backstage rumors. Books the expected no DQ match at SummerSlam for the World Title. R-Truth is out. WHAT? Don't you what me! R-Truth vs Orton tonight. Hmm, wonder who loses this. Christain vs Morrison. Triple H should seriously just end the brand split. It's possible to have a divided roster without 2 brands. Pretty good opening segment.Triple H backstage with Teddy Long. I wonder how much we'll see Triple H on SD! Probably not as often as Raw. So Teddy Long's position is safe. I do wonder if the Anonymous GM will ever be mentioned again with Triple H basically trumping him. Ryder is now Teddy's assistant. Hmm, hist last assistant became the GM eventually. Christian vs Morrison. Good match, but it didn't really captivate my interest. I have it playing kind of beside me while I'm online and I saw snips of the match as I looked back and forth. Decent match, but nothing memorable or anything anyone will be talking about. Basically, Morrison is exactly where he was before his injury. Wade Barrett with a mic in hand. This looks promising. Return to basics? Just called Daniel Bryan overrated and overhyped. I wonder how long people have been waiting to say that. Oh, Daniel, don't compare Heath to Barrett. Barrett vs Daniel Bryan is a feud that should have happened when Bryan returned to WWE. That was bad timing since Barrett was feuding with Cena. But they should have done this when the 2 came to SD!. I'm fine with them feuding now, especially if Barrett wins that MITB briefcase from Daniel Bryan. Mark Henry is probably getting the best push of his career now. He's being built as a legitimate monster having already taken out Big Show and Kane. I do wonder where this pays off. Will he get a World Title match at a PPV? Will Kane or Show return to get revenge? Will someone get a rub from Henry by beating him? Highlight package on Justin Gabriel is a good move. He is a good performer, but he has no real personality right now. If he has some kind of personality or gimmick, then he could easily get over as a legitimate US/IC Champion. Short Divas match. I read that Dustin Rhodes is now the agent in charge of this division. It could get better if Goldust is allowed to actually get these girls to wrestle. A video package for Henry and Henry is in the ring against...Who is that? All that hype for some small jobber? Squash match. Teddy Long out saying no one wants to face Henry. Out comes Sheamus to a nice pop from the crowd. Is Sheamus a face now? Or is this a heel vs heel feud? Sheamus tells a story that lost almost everyone, then said bag of crap real loud. I'm pretty sure that's a legit Sheamus chant. This could be a good brawl style match at SummerSlam. I don't know if I ever said this, but I like that dance the Uso's do before they enter the ring. It goes a long way to making them stand out. Out come the Tag Team champs. I honestly forgot about the New Nexus until they came out. I think WWE is doing everything they can to distance them from CM Punk. Can't say I blame them. I wish they'd put the belts on the Usos. Recap of CM Punk's return. Right thing to focus on in the Raw Recap. I still think Stone Cold when I hear "Cult of Personality" since that was the song they used for his HOF video. Ends with them advertising Triple H addressing the 2 Champions on Raw. Well, we know how that ends: Champion vs Champion at SummerSlam. I know some people think they brought Punk back too soon, and I agree with that. But WWE has conditioned their audience to have such short attention spans that they had to strike while this angle was still hot. It would have lost a lot of steam if they tried to wait several months for Punk to return. Plus, Punk vs Cena in a Title vs Title match will draw so much better than Cena vs Del Rio ever will. Ezekial Jackson. They should just call hem Ahmed Johnson 2 and get it over with. Even have them wearing the same red tights. I cannot believe this guy is the IC Champion. Oh, why did Cody cut off the sleeves of his jacket? It was cooler with sleeves. I wish Cody was the IC Champion. Cutting a promo in foreign language isn't really affective. Once you get past booing because you don't understand them, then that's it. I wonder if it was a positive promo for the people that do speak that language. Did they really just show the IC Title vs IC Title match recap when they are fixing to do the same for the WWE Title? R-Truth out to face Orton. I expect the two to have a good match, since Orton usually does, but for Orton to win, since Orton usually does. What was that suplex into a Stunner move that R-Truth just did? R-Truth gets a DQ victory, but gets the shit beat out of him. This was booked just to show Orton as vicious before his match with Christian at SummerSlam. I hope they give Orton the belt back. |

The Man. Any Questions?
|
If they wanted to do something that someone would give a fuck about, they should have had it be a title match, and have Truth take the belt off Orton on tv. But no, let's just do the same tired formula of champ kills somebody, ready to face challenger at ppv, blahblahblahx10 years. |

Ohhhh, that's right. The DQ rule at the ppv. For some reason, I was thinking Orton retained. |

Don't feel bad, SRP. WWE has not booked Christian to be a strong Champion. I know, he's only been Champion for a few weeks, but he has looked weak this entire feud. And then he won the title in a weak fashion and has not had a really dominate moment since winning the belt. I fully expect him to lose the title back to Orton at SummerSlam. But I'm not sure where they go from there, since these two desperately need to be separated. |

I think the plan is for Henry to eventually challenge for the World Title, but not over the next few PPVs. They just turned Sheamus face this last 2 weeks and have started a feud between the two. Looking at the roster, they really do have a shortage of opponents for whomever walks out with the World Title. Henry and Sheamus just started a feud, so they are occupied. Barrett and Bryan just started a feud, so they are occupied. Cody Rhodes, Ted DiBiase, and Ezekial Jackson are all occupied. Sin Cara is suspended (but could return to feud with Christian, the only man to pin him in WWE). The only person getting a push that isn't in a feud is that guy with Khali. I guess they could hotshot him to feud with Orton if that's the big plan, but I don't know. The only other option I see is to combine the feuds and book multi-man matches. Maybe have Sheamus and Henry both challenge for the World Title or something. |
