Ok, my Dad basically said he'd buy me a PS3 for doing well at college and I've been looking at several different sites to get the best price and package deal on a console. I'll probably just buy the 360 GB one as it only adds roughly £20 to the overall price but the thing I'm not sure on is the games. I havn't played or even seen footage for a lot of them. I was wondering if someone could tell me which appears to be the best package of games for the money out of the following... + Killzone 3 - £259 + Killzone 3 & Mortal Kombat - £289 + Call Of Duty: Black Ops - £250 + Ratchet & Crank: A Crack In Time & Modnation Racers - £268 + Little Big Planet 2 - £268 + inFAMOUS 2 - £269 I'm sort of leaning towards the Ratchet & Clank package at the moment as I liked the Ratchet & Clank games on PS2 and from looking at Modnation Racers it sort of reminds me of Speed Freaks from the PS1 That being said I have heard that Killzone is meant to be good as well. Any recommendations for other games that I could buy separately would also be welcomed

Are there any sort of games you prefer? I could probably recommend a few, depending on what your tastes are. |

I really don't have a preference, the only types of games I don't play are sports games but other than that I'm pretty much open to anything. I like FPS aslong as there's a story, although games like Call Of Duty I find can get pretty boring at times. My favourite games right now are Dead Space & Red Dead Redemption, I've been playing them both of them on my brothers Xbox. I'll probably invest in Dead Space 2 & possibly the Red Faction games, I only played the first one on PS2 and also catch up on the Metal Gear Solid series.

The Man. Any Questions?
|
You've always got the world-famous heavy hitters Grand Theft Auto IV and Final Fantasy XIII to choose from. Don't overlook Tomb Raider Trilogy. |

Well, you probably already know of these games, but I still highly recommend them: Metal Gear Solid 4 The Uncharted Series Batman: Arkham Asylum Fallout 3 Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Mass Effect 2 God of War 3 GTA IV L.A. Noire Assassin's Creed Series Bioshock Series inFamous A few other good games that might be a bit under the radar are: Heavy Rain Brutal Legend Bayonetta Vanquish Mirror's Edge Mini Ninjas And here's a few more little gems that you could find on PS Store: Braid Trine DeathSpank Fat Princess Stacking There's also HD re-releases of classics like Earthworm Jim, Beyond Good and Evil, Prince of Persia, God of Wars 1&2, Pac-Man, Tetris, Frogger and a few others. Also untouched PSOne classics to choose from including the Oddworld games which you said you liked IIRC.

No need to buy them, I've still got the originals for the PS1. Those games are just awesome, definetly two of my all time favourite games I've never checked out Munches Odyssey Or Strangers Wrath though...Anyway I ordered the bundle deal for the 320GB with Ratchet & Clank & Modnation Racers for £268. Batman Arkham Asylum is definitely going to be the first game I pick up. I can get it through a 2 for £20 deal on play.com where I also ordered the PS3 from but I'm still debating which game to order with it. The others being available are * Far Cry 2 * Dead Rising 2 * Resident Evil 5 * Enslaved: Odyssey To The West * Borderlands I'm leaning towards Far Cry 2 at the moment just so I'll have a FPS to play around with. I thought the third Metal Gear Solid game was on PS3 but I can only find the fourth one. Must have missed the third one completely when it came out on PS2. |

I enjoy Resident Evil 5 very much, as well as Far Cry 2. If you're looking for something that's open ended with a lot of ground to be covered, then Far Cry 2 would be it. |
