This is nothing new from Punk since he's been critical of The Rock since Rock returned last year. At least Punk acknowledges that Rock makes everyone more money when he comes back and doesn't just comment on the bad. Still, maybe they should just let Punk write Cena's promos going into WrestleMania. |

The Man. Any Questions?
|
Maybe get 10% as over and popular as The Rock, then bitch about his attitude. Nobody in WWE right now is worthy of breathing his air, and they know it. |

So true. Punks thinks hes better then he really is. In 2 years Punk will be nothing. And when Punk leaves, no one will care. Hes not The Rock. Or Stone Cold. Or Triple H. Or The Undertaker. Or Shawn Micheals. Hes not even close. Hes CM Punk. A nothing. A nobody. His words mean nothing. His promos are only good because for some reason the WWE lets him break kayfabe. Otherwise hes not that good on the mic either. No better then Cena. |

The more you post, the more you come across like a complete mark. I swear. Just because The Rock is more over than the current roster does not make it alright for him to behave like a prick backstage. And just because he's The Rock doesn't mean that every other wrestler on the roster that is busting their asses every single night shouldn't feel upset because he can come in and main event WrestleMania automatically just because his name is Rock. Those are legitimate complaints. Oh, and Punk isn't going anywhere. You may as well get over that silly notion. He is the most popular wrestler in WWE at the moment. He's always been popular since coming in WWE, but you can no longer say that's just his indy fans. He's the most over wrestler in the WWE Universe. He's going to be one of the focal wrestlers for as long as he remains with the company. Cena is never going away. Orton is never going away. Punk is never going away. |

WRONG. There not legitimate complaints. They havent done what The Rock has done. When they do, then they can complain about The Rock main eventing Wrestlemania. They act like its there choice to not go and make movies. Its not there choice, there not skilled enough. And I doubt hes an "asshole" backstage. Just cause CM Punk says he is, doesnt mean he is. As for Punk not going anywhere. Maybe your right. Maybe he will stick around. Doesnt change the fact that hes nothing special. And he may get the most merchandise sales but he is certaintly not the most over wrestler on the roster when it comes to crowd reaction. Randy Orton gives the Rock a run for his money when it comes to the ovation even the mention of ortons name gets. Watch Smackdown when teddy announces the main event and says randy orton will be in it. the crowd goes crazy. Punk doesnt even get that in Chicago. And I may be wrong about Punk not going anywhere but Im sure as hell not wrong about when he does leave, no one will care. |

And you know this because you are backstage, right? CM Punk isn't the only one that has these complaints against Rock. The entire reason Rock and Cena are feuding is because Cena voiced these complaints again Rock. And even Randy Orton has voiced these complaints against Rock. All the top stars that can voice their opinion without being punished have all said the same thing: That the Rock acts above everyone else, doesn't mingle with the locker room, and isn't very pleasant to be around. When all the top stars are saying it, it tends to have validity to it.
Typical mark comments. You and SRP both have this illogical thinking that just because he's the Rock and just because he is a huge star that everything should just go his way and any complaints against him is irrelevant just because he's more over. That's not true at all. Actually, that HURTS more than it helps. Rock isn't a weekly attraction. He comes in for these special appearances and leaves just as quickly. It's guys like CM Punk, like Cena, like Orton that are there each week. Rock brings in a bigger audience when he returns, and that's good in itself. But if Rock is made to look bigger than them or if they are all made to look inferior to Rock, then those fans just turn around and leave just as soon as Rock leaves again.
Yeah, because every wrestler's goal is to leave wrestling and become a B-level actor, right? Most wrestlers wrestle because they want to be wrestlers and nothing more.
Orton does get a monster reaction, I won't argue against that. Cena also gets a monster reaction, although his reaction is always split as we all know. Punk gets a monster reaction as well. I think you could argue about crowd reaction for each of these three guys and have a valid claim, since they are all 3 the top 3 guys of WWE. But as you said, merchandise sales do back up that Punk is the most popular wrestler on the roster right now.
You should have said "watch Raw" instead. The problem with SD! is that it is taped and WWE adds crowd noise to the show. So you cannot actually judge any crowd reaction on SD! as a true indicator of anything since you can look at the audience and see they aren't as lively as they sound. It's a dead give away. But since Raw is live and since SD! guys appear on Raw each week, it's a better gauge of crowd response to see the crowd reaction there.
Maybe you don't see him as anything special and maybe you, but you're wrong almost every time you type. You are so out of touch with today's wrestling and it shows. I could argue against you by pointing out how Punk became the most mainstream wrestler in years over this past summer and cite other examples, but the best response is just to sit back and watch you be wrong. Again. |
