Stand Back! There's a Hurricane Coming Through
|
Ryder is at about the apex of his career to me. He doesn't have the personality to get higher. Can you see him feuding with the likes of The Undertaker, Triple H, Cena, CM Punk? Neither can I. He did an awesome job of getting himself over as a midcard talent. But, he won't and shouldn't get higher than that. The current incarnation of Ryder isn't meant to be main event. |

The Man. Any Questions?

Dude, last year CM Punk would be on the "Ryder" side of that quote. No matter what the net geeks say, and you know it. So why not ZR? WHY NOT? |

I love how a person on the net makes fun of people on the net like they are above it all. ![]() My second sentence explains it all. Ryder doesn't have the personality to get higher. He lacks the charisma, especially in his current character, to be anything more than a midcarder. CM Punk was always treated as a guy that could be a player some day. He had an "it" factor that Ryder just doesn't have. That is why Punk didn't fit my quote from a year ago. |

The Man. Any Questions?

You know what I mean, fool! The people who aren't fans, and think they "know the business". You've read their posts. Damn,. Purps always picking on me! I'm gonna cry now. And no, "straightedge boy" had no future. He wasn't going to get higher, He had to break character to get truly over (another discussion for another time). Remember what I said about Hornswoggle; you and I might think Zack's current incarnation has no legs, but who knows what geeks will cheer nowadays?! And also, Zack can evolve. We don't know the guy personally, so how do we know he can't do something else? |

SRP is old. He watched wrestling in the 80's. Not much of what he says is relevant. CM Punk was a 3 time world champion and a Nexus leader when he broke kayfabe and had that "promo for the ages" that turned him so popular. |

Yeah. I remember when people wouldn't pop for a midget. Like Hornswoggle and Daniel Bryan. |

If Zack Ryder is given good angles then Zack Ryder will keep rising up, at least until he gets a bit bigger. I don't even have to watch WWE very often to know that Ryder is extremely popular and seeing that he did that almost entirely on his own (which is pretty impressive in today's wrestling world), which is all I need to know to realize that he could get bigger or stay high up for years to come. But it all depends on the angle. He could be a future CM Punk (who was very popular throughout his WWE run even way before last year) or he could be a future Santino (who was extremely popular for awhile) - it depends on how WWE handles him. But... it sounds like they don't want to raise him up, which is incredibly dumb since they more or less had a good thing fall into their lap, so there's a good possibility he'll be another Santino in WWE in a few years.

That's what you imagine but that's not reality. Listen carefully each week for what they are cheering. Are the cheers getting louder or not? No it has not skyrocketed yet. It's still on the up rise and I believe that your blind hate towards him blinds your view of where he truly is. Let's see the reality is he is very over with the casuals right now yes and that's how many of the audience? Like 90%. Well maybe depends how you look at it since most people are hooked to twitter and fb these days. Anyways still in traditional sense we have 10% smarks who at least half of them support Ryder while the other half are either not liking him or ignoring him. So about 95% of that audience supporting Ryder. So how the hell is he not popular if you will hear his chants from those folks? We live in an age where internet is king. If you get yourself over on the net massively you are running high and mighty. You are saying that once his internet popularity dies out. What makes you think it will die out if internet is still on the up rise and more people daily around the world are hooking themselves up? You have no proper answer for that. Vince smells money and Ryder right now is very marketable to all of them. I believe he will be the next John Cena if given the chance(eventually). Obviously much can go wrong but why be so negative? Vince knows right now he needs to push guys who can make him money and Ryder I would believe looks most promising. Nothing was given to him so he will continue earning everything through hard work and determination. Seriously if you are that popular in NYC you are in good graces even with smarks I would believe. Don't let the hate blind your judgment not to mention just ignore to post back if you are only gonna respond to one of my sentences. Since that is disrespectful. Now I know you will will go at me in self defense but while you're laying there in your bed each night think about what I'm saying and realize the reality. |

They are not. Some weeks he gets really loud cheers. Other weeks, he gets very lackluster cheers. It depends on the city, really. And the common trend is that city that is known for having "smart fans" pop for Ryder while every other city gives him moderate applause.
Blind hate? Do you even know what blind hate means? Or maybe you just thought you'd use something that sounded impressive so that you might sound impressive? Either way, you've used the phrase wrong. I do not have blind hate for Zach Ryder. I don't even hate Zach Ryder. Read through again and you'll see I give him much respect for getting himself over when WWE couldn't. All I am saying is that he's peaked. He will get no higher than where he currently is. And if he doesn't change up his act, he'll actually fall back down again. That's not blind hate. That is perfectly explained reason based on observation of the current product.
Wait, wait, wait, Wait. You think...wait, wait, wait. Just wait. Um, you think that...you think that 95% of the WWE audience is supporting Ryder? Wow, you're really fooling yourself here. Zack Ryder is popular, I've never said he wasn't. But he is NOT getting cheered by 95% of the audience. The next time Randy Orton comes out listen to the crowd reaction. That's 95% of the audience making noise. The next time John Cena comes out, listen to the crowd reaction he gets. That's 95% of the crowd reacting. Zack Ryder is getting nowhere near that level of reaction.
Did you just ask me a question and then answer it for me? That's...that's, what the fuck? Ok, my turn: Water goes in the freezer, ice comes out. YOU CAN'T EXPLAIN THAT!!!!
Right, Vince smells money which is why Ryder is on TV right now and why Ryder merchandise is being sold. But it is a very short term investment for Vince. Vince will keep Ryder on TV for as long as this flash-in-the-pan popularity continues, and then he'll pull him off just as quickly.
You spelled Eugene's name wrong. |

I think Ryder's potential deserves more credit. Not one believed that Cena would be number one guy or inducted into HOF like 4 years ago and now look at him even with current horrible gimmick he's out there doing his thing and will continue doing his thing. He will keep on rising don't worry. Besides his internet show flashes out his character far more than it's done on tv. If they did manage to flashes it out the way it's portrayed on youtube I believe we would have no problems at all. I can't say you are a Ryder hater but I do sense that you are his potential hater to say the least. Expressing that way might make more sense. |
