And people were probably dissing on you hard over the headsets the entire time. ![]() Trust me. So much shit is said about the customers over the headsets. So much shit. |

I would always work in the back and if the person up front had a headset on I would try to say shit to get them to react somehow. I'd be commenting on a customer's (the one they're talking to) wardrobe, hair, whatever I could. If I couldn't think of anything specific to latch onto to get the person at the register (drive thru, too) to crack, then I would just say stuff like "just reach out and caress his cheek, look deep into his eyes and say *whisper* 'everything thing is gonna be alright, baby'". I would even stand just out of view the customers and kind of stare at whoever was at the register (or doing an announcement) and kind of do circles around my nipple with my finger or shit like that. Absolutely anything I could do to get them to lose focus or start laughing or do something. Edited by Kraul, Feb 22 2012, 06:55 PM.

To my knowledge, rarely. And only to the absolutely awful ones. Have you ever seen the movie Waiting? Yeah. Just like that. Dane Cook in that movie? I was basically him most of the time. Some times Ryan Reynolds, but mostly Dane Cook.

I'm pretty sure I recognise that kid from Freaks & Geeks. The young assistant to Ryan Reynolds. |

I think it's one of those movies that most people without food service experience can't appreciate nearly as much as those with the experience. There are so many moments in that movie that I've seen or experienced and so many of the characters remind me of myself or people I've worked with. I love it. I still need to see Waiting 2. I have |

No, I don't think so. They hadn't been open long and the "breakfast" rush was over. I think the only 2 people in the entire building were the cook and the cashier. She was over at the tables reading the newspaper when I walked in. I think it's just a case of her not paying attention during a slow period. |

Did you see the cook at all times? I was mainly saying the person was probably saying shit (about your...uh...style) while the cashier was ringing you up. At least a remark or two. |

I gave them plenty to make fun of, trust me. I had no intentions of getting out of my car. I don't dress up to go through a drive through. I'm just glad I had shoes on.

I've heard that "Testicles are weak. If you want to be tough, grow a vagina...they really take a pounding" thing before, but it was associated with Betty White. I wonder who really said it first. |

It's like most vague quotes on the internet, really. There are so many quotes out there attributed to George Carlin, or Kurt Cobain, or John Lennon, or whoever that are only attributed to them because their attitude vaguely resembles/resembled the attitude in the quote. Unless it's something from a book, song, or interview (and it doesn't sound like it makes for a catchy one-liner tweet or status update), then I usually don't put much weight into who it's being given credit to. I honestly thought that guy in the picture was Jet Li until I finished reading it. It still might be. |

I agree. Waiting 2 is a waste of time. It is NOTHING like Waiting. Waiting is hilarious. Waiting 2 makes you forget what laughter is. ![]() They play both on Comedy Central from time to time. You can probably go online and see when the next time they'll play either movie. |

Or I could just watch the copies I have of both already. ![]() I've seen part of the beginning, setting up the whole rival restaurant Hooters knock off thing (it was meh at best) and I saw the end of a scene where the chick from Beakman's World was waving goodbye to the elderly customers and saying "Die now! Die!" with a smile on her face. That part I loved because I know exactly how that feels, not to mention she was looking damn good. That's about all I saw of it, though.
