So apparently there's been some talks - that I'm too lazy to copy and paste here - about how WWEFanNation is starting to get some more energy and attention put into it, with a bunch of new content headed it's way (new home of Z! True Long Island Story, for example). I really just created this thread to share one of the first bits of new content, though: Yeah, it's a generic web-clip show but it's hosted by Dolph Ziggler. or ?

I saw this earlier. Not bad. Not great by any means, but not bad. I wish there was more making fun of wrestling fans though, but that's a pipe wish. lol |

I'm honestly surprised he got away with what he did seeing that WWE is so PG nowadays. Even the second clip on it's own shocked me that it made it onto the episode. |

That's ok, Kraul. Anyone that has watched any WWE TV over the last 2 weeks knows about it anyway. Apparently, there are 8 new shows that WWE will be broadcasting on Youtube. |

I think it's funny how WWE disables the comments on all of their videos. What does that say about them?

Well, WWE doesn't actually want to know what their fans think. Because, as we all know, anyone that voices any kind of complaint at all isn't really a fan. |

Seeing how they seem to like censoring the audience when it comes to their signs, I can believe it. I also doubt much of what we hear from the audience is legit when it's not live. |

I agree. I don't trust the audience reaction on SD! at all. You can watch the crowd and see that it sometimes doesn't match up with the noise that's coming out of the speakers. I think that WWE can audio dub over live events to, but I trust the crowd reactions on Raw and PPVs a lot more. |

WWE's version of Botchamania or WrestleCrap? I dug it. My favorite part is the "he hates his shoes!" line from Road Dogg during the Ricky Steamboat training session. The Muppet part was lame, though. It could be gold with a little more time and some tweaking. |

I enjoyed that video a lot, actually. I liked it more than the Dolph Ziggler hosted video, which I also enjoyed. I agree that the muppet portion was not overkill, but that's for the younger audience I suppose. I wonder if it'll be a Triple H muppet each week or if they'll do different characters. I would hope the latter. I wonder if this is a test run for the WWE Network shows. These internet shows are very short, but they are basically good concepts. Even if those concepts are basically things we've already seen. Seriously, am I the only one that thought "Tosh.0" when watching the Ziggler video? |

It probably will since he was using "The Game" catchphrase and saying he'd be back for another. But if it was for the kids, it's kind of questionable if only because what followed was basically a wrestling scene that was obviously supposed to sound like some kind of sexual thing when blindfolded. ![]()
And Web Soup 2.0. And Web Junk 20. And more shows I can't remember the name to. |

It's a fabulous new day, yes it is!

That was actually a very good video. However, I felt that the Triple H muppet was like a buzzkill. |

![]() The Art of Wrestling is the best thing about wrestling. Fact. I listen to it every week and get all excited about wrestling again... then when I finally give in, I realize why I stopped getting excited in the first place.

If they can't get a couple of 15 minute Youtube videos right, then the WWE network should be a blast. |

Stand Back! There's a Hurricane Coming Through

The WWE is just out of touch. They have no real idea how to develop product for the digital audience nor how to relate to the current generation they so desperately want to capture the attention of. |

WWE has been out of touch since the 80s. The only reason they ever got hot is they saw what others were doing to get a good reaction, like ECW, and just ripped it off. WWE was still doing cartoon wrestling and falling apart while companies like ECW and even WCW decided to start getting more mature. If other companies never developed the "attitude" WWE ripped off and called their own, then they would still be doing cartoon wrestling. Oh wait, that's much of what they do again today. Is it any wonder they're falling flat on their face when compared to the UFC and MMA in general? |
