6 Star Wrestling is pretty much my home as far as an internet community goes. It's crazy to think I've been a member of this forum for over six years now, and have known guys like Cybrus, Purps, DL, and Whosey for that same amount of time. No matter who you are, I consider every single one of you guys I've communicated with on 6SW good friends, so thanks for being there whenever I've felt bored or even alone with/in the real world.

For as long as I can remember, I have been writing poetry, playing in bands and going to underground punk shows. Aside from wrestling, writing and music are my two main passions in life. They are what keep me going.

I have never told anyone on this board this before until now, but last May, I was hospitalized in a mental institution for a total of five days after a failed suicide attempt. The experience changed my life forever. While I was hospitalized, all I could keep telling myself was that "I had do start doing something with my life."

On July 24th, 2011, just a few weeks after being released from the hospital, I began performing my poetry in front of a live audience. The response I have received so far has been overwhelmingly positive. I cannot even begin to tell you how amazing of a feeling it is when a complete stranger who just listened to you perform an incredibly emotional set tells you that you "killed it" or did a "great job."

This past weekend, I self-printed 25 zines (mini-magazines). The zine is 12 pages long and consists solely of my own poetry written between 2011 and early 2012. I have titled my debut publication "Courage."

Spoiler: click to toggle

If any of you guys are interested, I'm selling copies of "Courage" for $1 (with shipping costs included, it'll probably be about $3-4 total). PM me for more details. Any support would mean the world. For those wondering, I'm primarily going to be selling them at shows I perform my spoken word poetry on.

Even if you can't buy my zine, any kind of support (whether it be simply commenting on this thread) is highly appreciated. Thanks, guys!

Any chance you can give us a sample of one of your poems here? Might get more people wanting to buy it.

Two of the poems included in "Courage" were published in issue three of a zine called "Disparate Thoughts" a few months back. You can download that zine online as a PDF file by clicking HERE.

If you read them, please let me know what you guys think. Mine are called "Brown Wings Bleed Red Skies" and "Euphoria."

Thanks!

Anyway, I made an new Facebook page for poetry work. I would really appreciate it if you could all kindly "like" me by clicking HERE.

No one PM'd me about purchasing one of my zines, but FYI, I sold all of them about a week ago after performing on a show in North Philly. I'm going to be working on a new one shortly, and it will likely see a summer release.
