I ask everyone to check out the whole song, there is a couple of thousand people in that tent and watch what this band does, especially at 2:45.

That is why hardcore music and metal is better than any music in the world, because of bands like that. I suggest to all of you to check them out and check out their lyrics, most inspirational shit that gets you so pumped!

I say we keep this thread open for those songs that really get us pumped up! Those real random ones when you hear them again your motivation leveles are 100.

So what the fuck are you going to do, kid?
Still ratting at the chains of the gates of the world...
But you can't quite pretend.

Still tasting youth's bitter exile here in your empty generation's wasteland...
Where all the things that you've been clingingto are being ripped from your hands.

Restless soul this place will never be your home.
And if you wanna have it all...
You've gotta let it all go.
Before the adult world strings you up and skins your skinny bones clean to the bone.
'Cause all this time you've been searchin' for something real
And now the pressure is coming down on you.

You've gotta turn this despairinside out and turn it into your way out.

'Cause heaven knows you're sinking and I know we're much the same...
So cheers to our rebel hearts...
Not just another fuck you...
But a bedside love song for a chosen few.
We feel like we've been left in the wind to die in the dust...
With no one speaking to us...
So we are speaking up.
Throwing out our anchor against the fear.
Your revelation time is near.
So try and listen to the voice urging you on...
Saying...
This is it kid...
This is your last chance...
And this is the only way to glory...
And this is our last dance.

Okay, I'll post a song that is always guaranteed to pump me up...

Deep Purple 'Perfect Strangers'

It's not just because it always makes me think of wrestling, either (although it does). But most of the lyrics I can identify with in my own way as in how most people that I really care about, or could care about, I feel are better off if we "remain perfect strangers".

With it all laid over an awesome hard rock sound, it just works it's way deep inside me and presses some buttons that few songs can. It simultaneously motivates me and helps me handle certain thoughts and realities that I don't always want to deal with a little easier.

Please don't call The Ghost Inside "hardcore." What you just posted is metalcore. I have nothing against metalcore bands, but I personally am not a fan. Just out of curiosity, what are The Ghost Inside's lyrics like?

Get into this, will you?

Alone in a crowd, but we're still standing strong
With X'ed up fists and sing alongs
Times like these are what we live for
These days are more than we'd ever hoped for

We're still here, and we'll never forget the words we said
Time flies by, and the promises made will stay with us
Through our lives

We're not finished yet, that's right

They tried to break the best of us
But still our hearts are true to promises kept

I definitely approve of Perfect Strangers. Such an epically badass song. I love it. Anytime it comes on my iPod, I rock the shit out of it. Dream Theater did a cover of it, and in my opinion, covered it pretty well. Obviously not better than Deep Purple, but it's still really good.

I'll have to check it out.

Isn't Dream Theater known for really long songs? Like, a concert being two or three hours but only five songs kind of long? I don't know who I'm thinking about if it's not.

Yeah, they have really long songs, usually between 8-15 minutes each. I think their set lists have between 8-13 songs or something.

I would love to be deep into some hard workout and have somebody ask what I'm listening to and then they hear that song pumping out of my headphones.

It wouldn't be unheard of. I did have the Step-By-Step, Full House and Growing Pains theme on my mp3 player for the longest time.

I don't like putting music into genres and shit. If it's hard, fast and heavy, it's hardcore. Not Screamo, metalcore, emocore, screamcore, deathcore or applecore.
That song is pretty bad ass though. I'll post up some Ghost Inside lyrics later.
