It's awesome. Especially that ending. The parts where the hologram are obviously a hologram, such as the slight glow or transparency at times, only add to the visual since then it almost feels like a ghost is on stage. I was talking about it with a friend and if they can refine this then there is big money in it. Imagine how much people would pay to get to see Elvis, The Beatles, or Michael Jackson (This Is It II?) on stage again and in various periods of their life? For example, imagine going to see a Michael Jackson hologram concert and before your eyes you see 1970s Michael and the Jackson 5, then moments later the 1980s Michael performing his Thriller stuff, then 1990s Michael performing his Bad stuff, etc. It could be amazing. I would kill to see a top notch hologram concert featuring The Doors and Jimi Hendrix. A total "shut up and take my money!" idea. |

I can't help but wonder what was going through the minds of the people in attendance when he first appeared. How many of them thought it was legitimately Tupac? And how many of them are "Tupac is still a live" conspiracy theorists and thought for a second they were seeing evidence that they had been right all along? If I had been at that show and if they made no mention beforehand that the hologram was going to happen, I'm pretty sure my head would have exploded. Edit: The video I posted has been blocked due to a copyright claimed by Coachella. You'd think this would be something they'd want to get out to make people more interested in their festival. ![]() I know this is the first time I've ever heard of Coachella. If you would have asked me a week ago what a "Coachella" was, I'd probably mistake for Nutella, the brand of hazelnut butter. Edit II: I just got this from the Wiki: "A hologram of another deceased rapper, Nate Dogg, was planned but Dr. Dre decided against it." I've been saying to a friend of mine repeatedly that they should have had Tupac and Biggie both "resurrected" via holograms. Maybe even bring up Diddy with Snoop and Dre to just kind of show that they've all grown up and pay respects to two of the biggest and most loved names they lost during that era. That would have been truly fucking epic. Edited by Kraul, Apr 18 2012, 07:10 PM.

STAY HYPED!!!
|
You knew it was only a matter of time before it started I think this is something that would be great if used as a special attraction. If you could go to a theme park, for example, and see something like this then it'd be awesome. Or if you could go to the Rock N Roll hall of fame (or anything similar) and see something like this for your favorite performer, then it'd be awesome. Or maybe if they somehow made a special movie theater where you'd go see a holographic performance, it'd be awesome. Or even if it is used like Snoop used it where it was just one part of his over all concert, then it'd be awesome. But I don't think I'd like the idea of going to see a full concert of nothing but hologram performances. |
