The Man. Any Questions?
|
Did anyone else see the ad for this "Prometheus" farce during Impact? "Oh, before Alien!". Yeah, and my asshole can chew bubblegum. I just want to get these Hollywood fucknuts on worldwide tv, and beat their sorry little noncreative faces in. It would be much more entertaining than an Alien prequel. |

Not only is Stringer Bell in the movie, but Noomi Rapace and Charlize Theron look like they show some skin. How can you not like that? |

WHO?! Actually, I've heard Theron's name before. Not impressed though. Sigourney Weaver, Lance Henriksen, Michael Biehn, and even the shoplifting skank Winona Ryder are rolling in their graves, and they're not even fucking DEAD yet! I dare - DARE - some shithead in the movie industry to do his or her own fucking work for once. Stop riding other people's coattails. You fucking welfare bums. |

Prometheus is produced and directed by the producer/director of Alien, and the director/producer/writer of Aliens was also consulted on development of the story.

So the question becomes: Is it possible to ride one's own coattails?

And finally, there isn't a single thing wrong with welfare. |

Well from what I heard, the movie takes place in the same universe, but that's about it. |

The Man. Any Questions?

Produced and directed have jack shit to do with story creation. And "consulting" the writer carries about as much weight as pissing into the wind. Remember when Stephen King was "consulted" about Lawnmower Man? Yeah. That went well. From the previews, this is supposed to show some kind of "attack before the Nostromo". Well, unless we've got 30-foot aliens getting facehugged, it won't make much sense. Of course, they could have just left shit well enough alone. You want to relive the 70s and 80s until we fucking PUKE? Give us 70 and 80-cent gasoline. Until then, fuck right off. |

Producing and directing have shit to do with story creation? Alright, bro. I can see you're an easily irritated man, so I'll just walk away and let you have your fit. |

The producer is mostly responsible for finace. The director comes up with the ways to get the visuals for written word. They do not create the story. That was my point, if you were taking it differently. And I'm not easily irritated. I get irritated by HUGE offenses. Like this movie.

This and The Dark Knight Rises are the two main films I'm looking forward to this year.

Eh, I'd wouldn't mind seeing Spiderman too, but not nearly as much as I want to see the other two. |

Dark Knight has Batman going for it, at least. Just about anything with Batman will be good, no matter how bad. If you cut out every scene without Bats in it, even Batman and Robin was cool. |

Oh yeah, I think Silent Hill: Revelation is also coming out late this year. I'm very much looking forward to seeing that too, even though the first one was a disappointment, but I'm a huge Silent Hill mark.

It's a fabulous new day, yes it is!
|
But you only care about the mainstream stuff. Stuff gets repetitive there because they're trying to make franchises out of films. There's a higher chance of finding original works in the independent scene, and some of those film includes well-known actors.
