* Vince McMahon kicks off this week's show to a big pop and talks about the new General Manager. He introduces Booker T to a decent reaction.

* Alberto Del Rio interrupts things which brings out Sheamus. Booker has Sheamus and Del Rio booked in separate matches tonight. Del Rio protests and says he's not wrestling until SummerSlam. Booker announces Del Rio vs. Randy Orton and Sheamus vs. Tensai, which is up first.

* Sheamus defeated Tensai.

* Backstage segment with Eve Torres. She wants a job with Booker T. Instead, Booker hires Teddy Long as his Senior Adviser.

* Antonio Cesaro defeated United States Champion Santino Marella in a non-title match. Cesaro wants a title shot.

* Backstage interview with Daniel Bryan and Matt Striker. Bryan is wearing a "no, no, no" t-shirt. He wants the fans to stop saying yes but they do anyway.

* Daniel Bryan, Dolph Ziggler and The Miz beat Kane, Christian and Chris Jericho.

* Striker is backstage with Randy Orton. Orton says he's going to defeat Del Rio later tonight.

* Ryback beat Jinder Mahal by DQ when Jinder hit him with a microphone.

* Darren Young beat R-Truth. AW was mic'd up at ringside.

* Backstage segment with Layla and Booker T. Cody Rhodes comes up and Booker makes Cody vs. Sin Cara next week.

* Randy Orton beat Alberto Del Rio by DQ in the main event. Sheamus attacked Del Rio after the match and Orton laid Del Rio out with a RKO.

It kills me that people only jumped on the Cody Rhodes bandwagon when he became Mankind Jr. and now Generic mid-card Heel No. #3. Somewhere along the line Cody Rhodes forgot he was... Dashing.

STAY HYPED!!!
I believe I was one of the first guys to jump on Cody's bandwagon, if that's what we are calling. I have been a fan of Cody's since his grooming tips and Dashing days. You can probably go back and find my comments in the SD! threads about it. I was the only one talking about Cody at one point. Only smoke in mirrors. :lol:

This is the second week in a row that I deleted SD! without watching it all. I made it about an hour into the show and realized I just didn't care what else happened and deleted it. SmackDown! just feels so irrelevant and unimportant. Nothing is going to happen on the show that feels like it's a miss. And you're not going to see anyone worth watching be ONLY on SD!. No big storylines take place on SD! No great matches take place on SD!. I think I have finally started to care as little about this show as WWE does.

But I do question WWE's logic on the little bit I did see. What was the point of making 1 GM for both shows just to turn around and appoint 2 new GMs...both of which will be short term anyway? I guess that was just a WM angle? But, seriously, AJ and Booker are clearly short term place holders until WWE is ready to do the GM angle gain in January...if not prior to then.

Yeah, Raw becoming a "Super Show" really took the wind out of Smackdown's sails.
