- WWE has unveiled the official logo for Saturday Morning Slam.

The new show will debut on August 25th and run for 30 minutes each week. The first match taped was Kofi Kingston vs. Heath Slater with Santino Marella on commentary. Saturday Morning Slam will air on The CW network as part of their Vortexx Saturday morning block of TV.

Saturday Morning Slam is rated TV-G. This is unconfirmed but it's being reported that because of who WWE is marketing the show to, there will be no wrestling moves or submission holds done to the neck or head.

The series is intended for children and will provide superstar profiles, behind-the-scenes footage, an exclusive match, as well as highlighting WWE's community initiatives such as the "Be A Star" anti-bullying campaign.

The series is also set to have a large focus on viewer interaction and social media (such as Tout, which WWE is an investor).

The series will mark the return of WWE programming on The CW, as the network previously aired SmackDown from 2006-2008 (and from 1999-2006 on UPN, one of two networks which merged to form The CW in 2006).

The show is rated TV-G (a level lower than WWE's usual TV-PG rating), and due to being aimed specifically at children, it will not feature any moves or holds aimed at the neck due to what is seen as their violent nature.
