I think I missed it on Raw, but it looks we'll have Cena vs. Punk after all. |

Yes, you must have missed it. AJ came out on stage and announced CM Punk would be defending the WWE Title against "her" choice: John Cena. |

It feels like this match has been happening an awful lot. I guess you could say Punk is filling in Edge's old role of being the main rival of Cena. And just like back then, I'm tuning in to see the bad guy, not the good guy. ![]() |

They need to add a stipulation that Sheamus and ADR will never, ever be in the same ring again. |

Wait...Claudio Castagnoli is on WWE TV? And he has the US title? Damn, I need to keep up more. LOL Is that a Smackdown title? |

It's mostly a SD! title, yes. But they do have Claudio show up on Raw sometimes. I do not know him outside WWE, but his gimmick kills him for me. His entire gimmick, that I can tell, is that he speaks 5 languages. Each week before his match, he'll say a word in 5 different languages and that's about it. I have a question about the PPV. The battle royal to determine the #1 contender for the U.S. Title takes place on the preshow. So does the US Title match happen on the PPV? |

Antonio Cesaro is playing the evil foreigner/anti-American gimmick and him saying something in 5 languages is just his pre-match way of getting heat. Not much that should really stump anyone there. And my understanding is that the US Title match will be on the actual PPV. |

I didn't say his gimmick stumped me. I said it's not an entertaining gimmick. It doesn't make me want to boo him. It makes me want to turn the channel/fast forward. |

I was just looking over the roundtable and it seems like almost everyone expects Ziggler to cash in and win tonight. It's about the time when they'll put the belt on him, if it is going to happen. They don't have any major PPV for the next few months. So sometime between now and the Rumble should be when it happens. But the fact that so many people are expecting it tonight makes me want to change my prediction. Popular internet ideas don't mesh well with WWE plans.

Also, it's great to see Kaitlyn getting the push she deserves. A ton of personality, solid in the ring and just a generally all-round cool chick (which is evident by the fact that she's already over despite only being on TV for like 3 weeks). Love Layla, but I really want to see more of Kaitlyn. I hope she wins tonight.

Are we watching the same Katylin? She seems pretty horrible to me. I hope she loses and leaves TV, personally. |

I'm not exactly sure what Kaitlyn you're watching, honestly. If someone can get over despite literally only being on TV for a few weeks (and the Divas only get a few minutes anyway), then I think that's a pretty clear indicator you have talent or at least something the fans can latch on to. She doesn't have very much to work with, though. |

Is she really over though? I've never noticed anything more than modest applaud. Besides, the focus of the division is clearly Eve. Eve has been "playing it straight" which makes everyone suspicious of her motivations. The big feud on the horizon is Eve vs Layla. Katlin is just a warm body in the ring with Layla until Eve stops being nice and shows her true intentions. |

Yes, she's definitely over. Finally caught SmackDown last night and in her match against Beth Phoenix she was getting the crowd behind her the entire match, to the point where was actually getting a full blown "let's go Kaitlyn" chant which again, for her amount of screen time and just the general amount of time the girls get, is pretty impressive. She's been getting similar responses on Superstars and NXT for a year or so now as well. Her responses on RAW haven't been as large, but I think that's just the nature of being brought out in-front of a wider audience for the first time. I don't know if Kaitlyn is just a "warm-body" or whatever. The main focus probably is on Eve. If they really just needed a random opponent for Layla though, I think they would have just thrown out Beth Phoenix again or not really give any kind of build to Kaitlyn (which is more an indictment of the creative team than anything else). Instead, she's been booked pretty well and has actually been quite involved in this story with Eve. I'm actually moderately interested in seeing where this goes. Plausible explanation. Another plausible explanation is the fact that SmackDown, Superstars, and NXT are all taped shows which allows WWE to manipulate the crowd reactions. I don't trust any of these shows with crowd reactions because I've seen dubious footage myself. Raw (and PPVs) seems to be the truest way to gauge how over anyone is since it's a live crowd with real crowd reactions. |

They pipe in cheering. They don't however, pipe in specific responses for Wrestlers. They would actually have to get those responses first. WWE is pretty bad with editing in piped-in cheering and booing anyway. You can tell when a response is organic and when it isn't. They've been using the same high-pitched cheer on SmackDown for years. You can literally hear the exact same cheer from episodes of SmackDown in like 2002.
