Wade Barrett has returned? Finally, a reason to watch SD! It's kind of disheartening that he returned on SD!, because it means he's not really a big deal to WWE. But I'm a Barrett fan and gladly anticipate seeing his return. ![]() I wonder if the rumor about WWE planning to have MITB at WM and have Barrett win was true? If it was, I wonder if Ziggler will lose his case to Barrett in the near future? I certainly hope so. I'd be much more interested in Barrett winning the World Title than Ziggler. I mean, I know it's only the World Title and I know Punk said on Raw that it's below the WWE Title (which we know is true, but I didn't expect WWE to publicly admit), but still. |

I like Barrett, from the rumors it did seem like he was in line for a push until his injury. Hopefully they'll still make that push. |

Smackdown has pretty much become a glorified "grooming ground" for talent, or WWECW 2.0 if you will. If anything, Wade's return means Del Rio's extended push is finally reaching an end. |

I will gladly take Barrrett challenging for (or even winning) the WHC over Del Rio. He's challenged for the belt for the last 5 PPVs in a row, right? Who the fuck even pretends to care anymore? |

That's what happens when you don't build talent. |

Watched SD! and noticed 2 things: 1) Barrett said he was "open for business". I am probably wrong, but I wonder if this means he'll be doing the hired servant role that APA used to use. I think it'd be a good role for him to beat people up for money. Or I wonder if it just meant he's ready to go on the World Title hunt...which as I've already said, I approve. ![]() 2) Booker came out and banned the Brogue Kick in the middle of a match. Ok, I know Sheamus was only wrestling Otunga and should never lose to Otunga, but he should have stumbled a little at the announcement. It should have thrown him off his game just a little. Instead, he just went straight into the Texas Cloverleaf as a finish. I would have liked it better if he would have won by some other move this week, and then introduced a new move as a finisher next week. Something to show a little weakness for Sheamus. |

Now that Barrett is back, it may give me a reason to watch Smackdown. Ever since the whole Nexus storyline, he always stood out as being someone who could actually get the crowd to hate him (unlike Ziggler who gets Vicky to do it...). Best part about it is, the fact that he is around the attitude era Rock sort of build where he isn't a big man in the sense he's The Undertaker, Kane and any other top guys of that time, and he's not a small guy like HBK and Bret Hart, but he has the tools to be just as good as everyone that came before him. |

I am a Barrett fan, but I don't really like the "Barrage" that much. It's just a word that will not catch on with the U.S. audience. I think the constant "barrage" talk will hold him back more than help him. If he just goes full on with his "open for business" and either becomes the modern day APA character or goes straight for the World Title, then that'll catch on a lot quicker and easier. |
