Hopefully he can reinvent himself upon returning. Honestly, his drop off the map wasn't even his fault. It was wwe's for pushing him way too soon by having him beat the then-recent wwe champion and WM headliner Miz. What happens to these guys who get the push too soon? Just ask Shelton Benjamin and Maven. Not everyone is a Brock Lesnar. In fact, most wrestlers aren't, where they can't afford to be just randomly given some once in a lifetime chance. They're probably not ready for it. |

The funny thing is that Alex Riley has actually turned into a similar case to Chris Masters. Gets a massive push before he's ready, sent back down the card and then actually develops into a good wrestler while the spotlight isn't on him and there isn't so much pressure. The problem is, the initial flop was so bad that WWE doesn't want to give him another shot or there just isn't any space for him on one the main shows. Sucks to be him. Btw, the last time Riley was on RAW was when he upset Dolph Ziggler with a distraction from Chris Jericho in the lead up to SummerSlam a month ago. |

It's not just creative that is hesitant to give a wrestler another shot have a huge scale flop. Fans are also hesitant to give a wrestler another fair shot after they see him pushed to the moon and disappear. Chris Masters never rebounded with the fans (although he kind of did with that titty dance, but still not really). I doubt Alex Riley will either. |
