It's a pretty common feeling amongst the hardcore fans. The term 'pulling a Lost' was established because of this show.
Yeah, you're such a hardcore fan that you threw out and discredit an entire 6 seasons worth of a TV show that you "love" because you didn't like the way it ended.

Each to their own, but I agree it's pretty sad if you really did throw them out.

I invested hundreds of hours into that show. After every episode I would get online and discuss with the same twenty or so people all these theories and ideas of how everything will tie together and how they will explain all of these incredible things they were showing on the island. Every interview the showrunners gave seemed to include interesting clues about the series. Then, you get to the end and it's a fucking light cave and purgatory. They never revisit more than half of the mysteries or questions they pose in the series. The fans cared more about it than they did.

I obviously can't understand your pain as I'm not such a huge fan as yourself. *sarcasm klaxon*

There's no written rule that says EVERYTHING HAS TO BE EXPLAINED IN EVERY TV SHOW EVER.

To be fair the mere fact that you consider yourself such a huge fan, yet you abandoned the whole series because you didn't like the end, is just.. I wanna say a bit retarded, but that's not politically correct. If you were as huge a fan as you say then there's not a chance you'd throw a hissy fit like that and throw them out. You'd appreciate the end for what it was..

I would like to point out I was also disappointed by the lack of answers for questions, but that's life.. you don't find out the answer to every little question or wonderment you ever have. Perhaps that's a lesson in itself here.. the point they were aiming for.

There's nothing to appreciate, in my opinion. The end felt like a huge cop out. I didn't say everything needed to be explained, but they should have tried to explain at least half of it.

Why should they? Because you wanted them to? Let me tell you one important fact here, there's millions of Lost fans.. and managing to please all of them was never going to happen.

Also, I don't see how the ending of the show spoils the excitement and wonder you had throughout the entire series. It provided you with hours and hours of entertainment.

It's fair enough if you don't want to watch it again, knowing what comes at the end.. but it doesn't change the fact that it was entertaining the whole way through, and that's all a TV show really sets out to be.

If you went to a restaurant and had a fantastic first couple of courses, but found a dead rat in your dessert, would you go back? I don't like rewatching Lost, because each episode reminds me of all the questions they didn't answer.

The writers were lazy. Not answering the questions wasn't some kind of life lesson for viewers. They had great mystery ideas, but they didn't have great resolutions for them. Here is a list of SOME of the unanswered Lost questions: http://lostpedia.wikia.com/wiki/Unanswered_questions_by_episode (a select few were answered in the final season, but notice the final season isn't included here which included even more unanswered questions)

I get leaving some stuff open for interpretation. A lot of shows do that, and it adds mystique, but it's hard to leave stuff open for interpretation when you don't even give your audience enough information with which to interpret those situations. A lot of those questions on that site are very clearly setups for future situations that never ever come. Its pure laziness.

Answer me one question: were you entertained throughout the show, apart from the end?

Also, I am well aware of some of the unanswered things from the show.. I was a very big fan myself, and still consider it one of the best TV shows I have watched in the last ten years. HOWEVER.. that list you provided contains some very stupid examples of "unanswered questions".

Things like, "Who sent Kate the letter telling her about her mother being treated for cancer in hospital?" are fair enough, but all shows have plot holes like that in them.. I'm pretty sure you could sit down and watch any show in it's entirety with 6 seasons or more and pick out holes of that nature numerous times.

Things like, "How is the cabin able to move?" It's able to move because it's fucking magical.

It'd be like watching a Vampire movie and asking how are vampires possible? It's the supernatural for a reason.

I can understand avoiding the last season, but why throw away the seasons you did like?

Same for Ben and Hurley, who ended up being the new guardians of the island for however long before dying.

I don't think Ben died. Hurley invited him into the church, but Ben refused and said he still had work to do out there. So he's still with the living...yeah?

Many people seem to look past the fact that there was a Lost epilogue episode. Might answer a few lingering questions that you may have had, Cy.

Well, it isn't listed on Netflix so it's not that I looked past it. I just didn't ever know it existed until you just mentioned it. I am fixing to go to work, but I'll watch the vid when I get home tomorrow morning. :tu:

Not true! It explained the polar bears. And then it explained....the polar bears?

Yeah, that was not a very good post-show explanation at all.

Incidentally, I clicked the video to to youtube's actual site, since I didn't wanna watch it on a small screen in a thread. On the left side of that video was another video....which i'm pretty sure CRSHFBRCTN created
