- As we have noted, Vince McMahon was upset at last night’s RAW and told the writers that he needs results now or he needs resignations. The scene was described as frightening in terms of Vince’s tone and demeanor. Besides pressure from NBC Universal to fix the ratings, it’s said that last week’s 2.5 rating was a big slap in the face to Vince after a number of top talents voiced their concern to him.

A number of top talents have reportedly gone to Vince in recent weeks to complain about how the writing is bad and change is needed. At last week’s RAW, Vince was in a bad mood after having a back-and-forth with one of the top talents in front of other people.

We have not been able to confirm who the top talent was but they basically told Vince in front of other people that the WWE writing sucks, that Vince is doing whatever he wants and that WWE is going off a cliff without anything being done about it. The talent then told Vince that he needs to listen to everyone else because he doesn’t have his finger on WWE’s pulse anymore, basically telling Vince that he’s out of touch. The talent told Vince that when WWE goes to “hell in a handbasket” then it will be all Vince’s fault.

Apparently several other people got through to Vince during the week and these factors played a big part in the changes made at RAW last night. As noted, expect to hear about more changes in the next few weeks.

They cannot confirm who the top talent was, but they can confirm what was said between the two? Seems sketchy to me.

WWE has been bad for a while, we all know this. I think the 3 hour expansion of Raw has really exposed a lot of the problems to more people that may have been blind to them for so long. We have all been complaining for a while, but the ratings stayed the same. Ratings get lower with every week Raw stays 3 hours. WWE needs to stop expanding and start reducing. Sometimes, less IS more.

Well to be fair, they have been trying some new things, like resurging the tag team division, which has had some moderate success. The anger management storyline was also pretty good. I don't think there was bad writing there.

Most of the bad writing, incredibly, has been involving the main storyline. CM Punk needing to continuously face Cena to gain respect. At this point the opposition to Punk's view is so weak that it's a slap in the face to anyone watching. Does Vince not remember what Cena said to Punk back in 2011? And I quote: "I'm the best because I have THIS!" *Holds up wwe championship* - end quote

Now he's saying the exact opposite. This IS bad writing because unless Cena is just a manipulative liar (Which would be a funny twist), John did a complete 180 after losing his championship. And nobody has been able to realistically justify his constant rematches and won't be able to until they just tell the truth: Cena is the face of the company, and that's one of the perks. For anyone who's been watching this stuff for at least a year, this storyline at its very root is stupid and contradictory. Even Punk can only keep this interesting for so long (And he has succeeded so far), so I hope this ends at HIAC one way or another.

Oh, and one more thing I don't like is that they're now turning Punk into a coward against Ryback. Against Cena? Okay, that makes sense because Cena came extremely close to ending his reign, but Ryback still hasn't done jack shit. Why is he being thrusted into the main event? They might as well have used Big Show again, because he's more convincing. We saw Ryback's limitations when he was unable to lift Tensai. While that's no easy feat, it proved he's simply a weaker version of Goldberg, Lesnar, and Big Show. It proved that he's just going to be another Tensai and Brodus Clay. Another big guy who's made to look unstoppable for a while and then for no reason other than losing popularity with the crowd will become a jobber. All the sacrifices of wrestlers who previously lost to him will have been for nothing... and then another new big guy will come along and the cycle will continue.
