WWE is getting behind Ryback hard right now, which is kind of surprising since he's done nothing but squash matches so far. I wonder if he'll be the next Batista (power house main eventer) or just another dropped push? |

I'd wager that's the case. Batista had a good amount of time and exposure to the main event, slowly but surely thanks to Evolution before he went off on his own. He's an example of how to do things right (Even though I wasn't really a fan) when elevating someone to the main event. Ryback's progression is the most out of control we've seen yet. He goes from squashing nobodies... to squashing Miz once ever... to making CM Punk shit himself. To make it seem like he's more punishment than John Cena, the face of the company? When he's done so little? This is just way off balance. I think it'd take a miracle for him to survive this, because it's all moving way too fast, and as soon as the feed me more novelty wears off with fans, he'll go the way of Tensai and Brodus Clay if he doesn't think of something fast. I think if they don't hurry up and hand him a loss that he may never recover from his first one. They are stressing too much that he's never lost. When a guy is over just because he never loses, people tend to lose interest after they see him lose. I don't see him winning at HIAC, so maybe they have a contingency plan for Monday night? |
