Those who unfamiliar with the concept of the fantasy draft can view previous drafts hosted by Purple Marauder by clicking the links below. 2007 2009 2010 For this year's edition of the draft, each participant can now choose to draft any wrestler from any era in history (living, retired or dead), not just restricted to current wrestlers. This also includes talent such as managers or commentators (eg. Gorilla Monsoon and Freddy Blassie). This topic is to sign up to join the draft. If you wish to participate, please post here stating that you want to play. Keep in mind that this will likely be a month long project and that it is required that you remain active throughout the draft. We need at least 5 other people (I will also be participating) to run the draft. Of course, more than 6 people can join in if they are interested. Any suggestions or questions on the draft (such as Roster limit, How turns will work, the "End Game") are also welcomed here.

However, signups will remain open for any latecomers until this Monday. Now it is time for those who have signed up to choose a company name. It can either be a made-up fictional company or based on an actual one (e.g. ECW, NWA). It is also requested that you post a logo graphic alongside your company (especially if it's a fictional one). If you don't post a logo graphic, that's fine, but it means more busy work for me. Anyone signed up who fails to post their company name within a week of this post will be removed from the draft under the assumption that they no longer wish to play. The order is reversed every even numbered round (for example, 1 (1-8), 2 (8-1), 3 (1-8), etc). The order was decided through an online randomizer (with the exception of myself, who I placed at the end of the order, meaning go last for odd rounds and first for even). 1. Kame - Extreme Championship Wrestling 2. Fate - Dragon Gate USA 3. Driver - World Wrestling Federation 4. Purple Marauder - Major League Wrestling 5. Oatseeder - Oatseeder's Wrestling Fed 6. With all the retired and dead people we can now use, I think we could go for a bigger roster. 35 or 40 plus the 3 picks for commentary and GM.

But, if we are drafting tag teams together the way it was in the past, as well as singles guys, I can see the need for expanded rosters. I'm game either way.

Why you had to wait until now to discuss the matter instead of during sign-ups is beyond me.
