Heroes was one of those shows I kept watching and hoping it would return to its former glory. The first season was amazing with kind of a sub-par ending, and then from there it was all down hill.

I can't pinpoint what the exact problem was, but I think it had to do with making some of the characters (Peter in particular) way too overpowered. So they were given bland, menial tasks to do in the following seasons. I remember cringing at the boring stuff they had Sylar doing when he lost his powers. I finally gave up after the third season, and apparently so did a lot of others.

I heard the fourth season was not too bad, but it was cancelled not long after so it must have been too little, too late.

That being said, I only have time to follow Arrow these days anyway. :D

The pilot episode was amazing. Most of the season was good. The problem was they had to make every character in the show have a power. That ruined it. They should of just left it the way it was and people would of loved it

In a world where the likes of Mad Men, Boardwalk Empire, Louie, Game of Thrones, etc. exists, you only watch Arrow?

As for Heroes, I never got to see it completely.

Agreed 100%. Season one was a lot of fun to watch. About three episodes into season two, I gave up. I'll check out the new series, but I don't see it surviving past a season or two.

Yeah Arrow has the misfortune of being on the CW which is full of bad shows. I wouldn't say it has revolutionized tv or anything, but what I love about it is that shit actually happens and there's enough character development that I care about what happens to the important characters. There's a lot of shows out there where people tell me, "Yeah just get through this part and then it gets good", but I don't want to "Just get through" something. I'd like to enjoy what I'm watching the whole way through. I even had one friend tell me that I should sit through the first season of Sons of Anarchy, which he admitted to me was very boring, because the seasons after were awesome. With Arrow I don't have to do that. I'm never bored with the show.

Also MY85 I don't watch Game of Throwns because...

The other shows you named aren't even remotely similar to Arrow so that would just boil down to taste in genre.

Hiro looks old and almost unrecognizable. I'm suddenly excited for this, though. :tu:
