The show opens with an opening diplay of pyrotechnics as the flames spell out MidCard Hell. The Camera pans around the sold-out arena with a hot crowd on their ready for a fantastic show. The camera cuts to the announcers table, where we see Play By Play Commentator "Mean Gene" Okerlund and Color Commentator Arnold Schwarzenegger.

"Mean Gene" Okerlund: Good evening, everyone, and welcome to the first ever show of MidCard Hell, being broadcasted tonight in Chicago, Illianois! This is Gene Okerlund and with me on commentating tonight is former professional body builder, Arnold Schwarzenegger!

Arnold Schwarzenegger: Thank you, Mean Gene. *Looking around the arena* Is it just me or is it getting hot in here in MidCard Hell?

"Mean Gene" Okerlund: Well, the fans in attendence are most certainly pumped up for tonight's action. Later on tonight, we see Harley Race, the newly crowned MCH Major League Champion, defend his title in singles fare against Shinsuke Nakamura. That should be a good one. Wouldn't it, Arnold?

Arnold Schwarzenegger: Good one, Mean Gene? It's gonna be one of the hottest matches of the entire show! We also have "The Animal" Batista against "Mister Wonderful" Paul Orndorff! I'm gonna tell you, right now, that'll certainly heat things up.

"Mean Gene" Okerlund: We also have some spectacular tag team action tonight on MidCard Hell. The Brotherhood Cody Rhodes and Goldust will go up against the inaugural MCH Tag Team Champions Road Dogg and Billy Gunn, The New Age Outlaws! But first off, we're beginning this edition of MidCard Hell with the General Manager Shane McMahon.

Segment 1

Shane MCMahon walks down the ramp and enters the ring with a microphone on hand. He welcomes us to MidCard Hell and tells them they'll see things in these shows that you'd never see anywhere else. He moves on to talk about how he was approached by an investor to call the shots on the show. He says he initially turned down his offer until he was shown some of the exciting talent that would be a part of the show, and couldn't resist signing up. At this point, CM Punk chants started up as Shane O' Mac then talks about his exciting roster, partically claiming that you won't see better tag team action anywhere else.

He then lists the current champions of MidCard Hell which he tells the audience he assigned them the titles as soon as he could. After stating that there was no better wrestler who could have been given the MCH King Of The Midcard Championship than Bret Hart, out comes CM Punk to a chorus of cheers and chants. sitting with his legs crossed with a microphone in his hand, he basks in the warm reception he's getting from his home town for 20 seconds before claiming he should've been awarded the MCH King Of The Midcard Championship and not Bret Hart. He orders Shane to book him for a match tonight against the title to prove he is the better of the two, but Shane refuses, which upsets the crowd. He does announce that the main event tonight will be a non-title match between the two wrestlers. Should Punk win that match, then at the next upcoming PPV, Punk will challenge Hart for the title.

Match 1

Singles Contest

Bob Backlund vs. Sheamus

Notes: Abraham Lincoln came out before the two competitors entered the ring to join Gene Okerlund and Arnold Schwarzenegger at the commentator's table for this match.

Result: Sheamus countered Backlund's Belly to back suplex into the White Noise (Over the shoulder back-to-belly piledriver). The Great White then approached the opposite turnbuckle ready to run and hit the Brogue Kick on Backlund, who barely got back on his feet. However, Backlund ducks the brogue kick, delivers the Running Atomic Drop, and goes for the pin. Sheamus kicks out before the 3 count. A shocked Backlund gets onto his feet and walks behind Sheamus as the Celtic warrior gets up. Acting fast, Sheamus counters Backlund's Crossface Chickenwing submission hold and sets up for the rolling fireman's carry slam. Backlund escapes the hold and successfully applies the Crossface Chickenwing on Sheamus. Unable to break the hold, Sheamus taps and the referee calls for the bell.

However, Bob Backlund, who was screaming hysterically, refused to break the hold. The referee tried to break the hold but to no avail. At that point, Lincoln tells Gene and Arnold that he will not stand for this and slides into the ring. Lincoln manages to break the hold... Only for Backlund to immediately put the same hold on him! After a minute, Backlund finally releases the hold, leaving Lincoln unconscious on the mat. DiBiase offers Batista the same amount of money as his MCH contract to join his stable. Batista pauses for 20 seconds to think this over, the crowd starting to turn on him, but a huge cheer sounds when Batista states that he will not sell out to DiBiase.

DiBiase then informs Batista that he is very disappointed to hear that and that he will regret his choice. Segment 6

Bret "The Hitman" Hart is being interviewed before heading out for his match against CM Punk. He acknowledges that Punk is a great performer and he has no doubts their match tonight is going to blow the roof off this arena, but criticizes his attitude and claims that is Punk's downfall. His talent is only beaten by his own hungry ego. Hart ends the interview by stating Punk cannot be the best in the world because he (Bret Hart) is the best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be.

Match 8

Singles Contest

Bret Hart vs. CM Punk

Notes: This was a non-title match. If Punk wins, he would face Bret Hart at the next upcoming PPV for the title. The crowd heavily favoured CM Punk in this match and Bret Hart was unusually booed as a result.

Result: Bret Hart managed to escape from the Anaconda Vise and performed a snap suplex on Punk. It took the count of 7 from the referee for Punk and Hart to stand up again. The two of them go back and forth with hard rights, the fatigue starting to show on both of them. Punk counter irish whips Hart to the ropes, misses a roudhouse kick as Hart ducks under and rebounds from the ropes to deliver a bulldog. Hart reachs to his feet, pulls Punk up for the Spike pilderdriver. Punk swiftly counters with an Inverted Frankensteiner and goes for the pin. The crowd boos as Hart kicks out at 2.

Punk then irish whips Hart into the turnbuckle, charges at him, but Hart moves out of the way in time. Punk crashes hard into the turnbuckle and Hart goes for the rollup. Was it enough? NO, it wasn't only a 2 count. Hart gets back up and goes for the piledriver again, but Punk forces him into the turnbuckle. He whips Hart into the opposite turnbuckle, charges at him again, hits the Step-up high knee and bulldog combo. With Hart laid out on the mat, Punk climbs up the turnbuckle. He performs a Diving Elbow Drop, and Hart hastily rolls away at the last possible second to avoid the elbow drop. Punk gets onto his feet, and is gut kicked by Hart, who finally manages to execute that piledriver on Punk.

Hart is ready to put this away, and locks the sharpshooter on Punk. However, he notices the Brotherhood (Cody Rhodes & Goldust) standing outside the ring. Hart releases the hold and walks up to their side of the ring. He angrily asks what the hell they are doing here. Cody and Goldust do not answer, they stare at him. Out of nowhere Punk turns Hart around and hits the GTS to an eruption of cheers. He goes for the cover. The crowd were excited to see Punk win. Unfortunately, just as the referee started to count, both Cody and Goldust slide into the ring and start stomping both men, leaving the referee no choice but to call the bell. The crowd immediately turned on the Brotherhood for ruining a classic match. Both Hart and Punk were too fatigued to fight back.

That is when Dusty Rhodes from backstage and into the ring. The Rhodes Brothers cease their assault and distance themselves from Dusty and a down and out Punk and Hart. Dusty appears angry at the two sons and scolds them. He then reaches out a helping to Punk, who is trying to get back on his feet. The crowd begin to cheer for Dusty. Punk notices Dusty's hand and grabs it as Dusty helps him up.

Then the unthinkable happened. "The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes suddenly clotheslines Punk off of his feet. The camera zooms in on a devilish smile from Dusty as he gives the signal to continue the assault. The stunned crowd turn their cheers into ferocious boos which were louder than anything else tonight as the Rhodes family continued their assault on the two wrestlers. Cody Rhodes performed the Cross Rhodes on Bret Hart and Goldust delivered the Curtain Call to CM Punk. The Brotherhood then pulled up and held Punk for Dusty Rhodes to hit the Bionic Elbow on him. They then did the same thing to Bret Hart. Gene Okerlund is baffled by all of this, while Arnold mentions what Dusty said earlier about the family sticking together.

Dusty Rhodes then grabs a microphone while Cody and Goldust throw Punk and Hart out of the ring. Dusty Rhodes begins by trashing the Chicago crowd and states that the America he once loved has now decayed into a deplorable nation, blaming his fellow americans for ruining the once great country. He claims he and his family are the only true americans left on the planet, and it is their mission to restore America to its "rightful" state. He tells the angry crowd that he is the dream that needs to becomes a reality. He also announces his interest in the MCH King Of The Midcard Championship and that he'll take on all comers that stand in his path. He ends his promo and the show by telling everyone to get used to his family headlining the company, because they ain't going nowhere. He drops the mic and the three of them taunt the crowd as the camera fades out.
